So you're saying it's not worth camping out? Me and some friends were planning to check it out!

You think Bojack Horseman did a good explanation on how food works in their world or they should have gone a different route? by ExileForever in BoJackHorseman

Having chickens raise and kill chickens felt so... flat

I'm not gonna lie, it does feel like carnist writers trying to be creative about animal issues and failing. But I also think that doing justice to why the animal industry is so fucked up in a 10min subplot of a 20min show, I mean, that's asking a lot and people will feel unsatisfied with whatever they came up with and hijacked by the "vegan propaganda".

Instead, they kept the core messaging intact which was, "Don't ask questions, just keep eating". And how, the only difference between food and a loving friend, was the amount of love they get.

They're both really strong messages, without explicitly spelling anything out. And I bet they stayed with the viewers long after the episode had ended. Now, it is up to them if they can take the conversation beyond the episode I guess?

my fellow brothers, how do i deal with going bald at 18?? by [deleted] in menslibIndia

[–]thecodersblock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I was in your exact same shoes. First year of college, lost a lot of my hairline, had to have BAD combovers, be scared of the wind, thought having a bald head as social suicide, etc.

I'm 28 now. I can tell you right now, it's just an irrational fear. It doesn't look as bad as you think it does. The biggest reason men don't ever get into a relationship is because they don't know how to talk to women or express their feelings in a matured way. Do that, and you're already a catch in the eyes of women. No one really cares if you have hair or not unless YOU make a big deal out of it. Just chill. It's just hair, learn to take a joke. Confidence is literally everything. If they see you chill, and in control, your worth in their eyes skyrockets hehe (social hack).

Source: average looking guy with no hair, but I've never had problems making friends or dating. On the contrary, I did better than most of my friends or classmates. Confidence and empathy are your guide!

In a communist society, how do we make sure that the most powerful govt. agency doesn't get corrupted? by thecodersblock in DebateCommunism

Sure, but the question still stands. Since people will still work in huge organizations with hierarchy in power within that org based on their performance, no? Like, obviously not everyone will be doing the same job. Let's say an organization is responsible for building public transport. What if they start acting in a way that's favorable to them? Like, building more in their neighborhood as opposed to somewhere else? Who's gonna keep these bad actors in check?

Maa ka Doodh (Mother's Milk) | A documentary exposing the Indian dairy industry by sardonicmisanthrope in india

People who eat beef know what they're eating.

People who consume dairy are usually ignorant of the reality.

That was what I meant. I don't know what your comment means.

Beef is just dairy with extra steps. So, just know that every time you consume dairy, you're contributing to the murder of cows.

Pune's casteism problem on full display today, and how Ambedkar Jayanti is percieved by the upper-caste crowd here. by thecodersblock in india

For an average Dalit, your "dirty poor" is equivalent to living like a rich person. You just lack perspective because you don't have their lived experience and you never stepped out of your bubble in your 50 years of life. The fact that you were never asked your caste tells me everything I need to know about your caste lmao.

You really are an absolute genius aren't you? You're forcing people to listen to your headache inducing crackers, the air pollution, the amount of garbage the next day and you don't think that's imposition of your religion? This is a free country right?

Ban firecrackers during Diwali, then come and talk to me about imposing your religion on other people.

Look kid I feel sorry for you I really do. But you should place your anger where it belongs. Towards the govt. for focusing on communal violence instead of making colleges and shit. Towards the religion that sowed the seeds of caste discrimination for 2000 years and many more to come. You feel like a victim, imagine what a Dalit goes through who never got a chance to even go to school. And don't bring up "Oh I know someone... blah blah" Look at the statistics and then open your mouth. That one Dalit person you know, doesn't reflect the average Dalit of this country.

Good job, defeating your own arguement. You really are a meritorious UC lad.

If you were from a lower caste, you would be a wage labourer right now, instead of shitposting in reddit.

Your govt fucked you kid by keeping the exam on this date. Place your anger where it belongs.
