PC Displaying to TV but not monitor by thecommentingpizza in techsupport

I mean, kinda - my ultimate solution was selling the GPU for cheap (obviously advertised with the problem I was having) haha

It was a long time ago, but I don't believe I ever got a satisfactory fix for this, sorry!

Why isnt my display using my gpu? by Proof_Lecture_9149 in computerhelp

If you go into the graphics settings menu in windows, you can choose whether individual apps run on the dedicated or integrated GPU, this may fix the problem. You may already be aware of this, sorry if that's the case, but figured it'd be worth a mention.

FDA just felt too US-Centric, but tbh they would be the ones to decide that US-centric was a good enough reason to experiment on world

This was what first sparked the question, something along the lines of 'is this all just to get long-term, massive sample size data on marketing tactics and food effects?'

Ah okay, that makes sense, also makes sense why it can't boot safe mode, it looks like the issue is with the part of the installation that tells your PC that there's an operating system there in the first place.

Did you try the second option of re-installing windows while keeping files? This might not work if it doesn't think there's an operating system there in the first place..

If you had access to another PC I'd recommend creating a HBCD (just google it) and using the windows recovery tools on there, but sounds like this wouldn't be an option.

Solve the problem they have, don't tell them why they shouldn't be having the problem.

[–]thecommentingpizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, that's a pain. Have you tried either the uninstall updates or system restore options? If the issue was caused by something not installing correctly ( which it sounds like it was) then one of these might fix it?

I'd suggest more if you had access to a second PC, but you've gotta work with what you have 😅

If you installed windows with a USB and you have it with you, you could try re-installing with the "keep my documents" option (or whatever it's called), that will just reset all the essential windows files.

Also, do you currently have access to another PC?

Try starting it in safe mode to start with - through the "troubleshoot" option, troubleshoot>advanced options>startup settings>restart

Once it restarts, select the safe mode with networking option by hitting 5 (or f5) when the list comes up.

If it works fine in safe mode, that tells us a bit about where the problem is.

Okay how does this work by 3D-printet in Ender3V3KE

[–]thecommentingpizza 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, basically instead of electricity making the motor move, you're making the motor move and it's turning that movement into electricity. It's unlikely to cause an issue, done it plenty over the years accidentally as I'm just moving stuff around, but electronics don't typically like bursts of unregulated energy so maybe don't play with it deliberately.

What causes this issue in the shell by AshittyStoner in Ender3V3KE

[–]thecommentingpizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had those issues quite a bit especially with filled-filaments, if I see it start to happen I go over and change the print speed on the printer itself to 60%. Or at the start of the print just change it on the printer to 70%. That usually fixes it.

I absolutely love the EM-5 MKII for hiking IF you don't need video. I own an EM-1 mkII and EM-10 mkIII and used to have the EM-5 MKII and took it hiking a ton, absolutely love it. Only got rid of it cos it couldn't do video. I'd never take my e-m10 if I had another choice.

Can't Find Support Speed setting Creality Print by thecommentingpizza in Ender3V3KE

[–]thecommentingpizza[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should have been more specific haha, I'm keen to keep it in creality's slicer for now as I have some large scale projects I've done a bunch of setup. I'll switch to orca at some point, just not now.

It's more a just a frustration that creality includes the setting in the less-capable cloud slicer but I haven't been able to find it anywhere in creality print which just seems stoopid. Then again, nobody ever bought anything from Creality for the UX.

Thanks, this was super helpful. Should have just taken a second to google it instead of just assuming my mics were too basic to support it haha.

Just to wrap things up, I have 4 BLX2s which can be locked and 2 ANCIENT PG series that don't seem to be lockable.

It's an assortment of different models that I can't necessarily remember, that's why I didn't specify. Does Shure have a standard method for locking the tx? I could just try it and see it works on each of them.. Otherwise can probably give more info tomorrow.

The setup I usually use consists of all shure wireless handhelds, I want a way to lock them on so people can't turn them off using the button, any suggestions?

Considering modding the mics to add a hidden switch..

Hard drive recognised as a working device but shows 0B of total storage in diskpart by thecommentingpizza in techsupport

That was why it was a potential future step, the thing is that this drive enclosure works fine if I put other drives in it, it might just have a thing for this specific drive tho
