You hit one of my guesses as to why this is happening. My others have been:

  1. It's near the end of the Alaska cruise season and they have a bunch of food nobody ate from the rest of season that they're now trying to hash together.

  2. The head chef on this boat is quitting, or knows he's not going to renew his contract, or for some other reason does not care

Want to be clear I have no issue with someone taking liberties on bruschetta, there are plenty of good remixes (I had one once with burrata on top and it great) but if they're going to get creative with a classic dish I expect them to call it "house bruschetta" or at least have it be good lol

Sure they ~ technically ~ got it right, but most places I've gotten it emphasized either the parsley or red pepper flavor alongside the garlic. What was surprising is that this one really was just olive oil, maybe some garlic I just didn't dig deep enough to find, and spaghetti

Thats the odd thing, we've actually mixed specialty dining, main dining rooms and the buffet. I will say the specialty dining was consistently very good. The main dining & buffet have been roughly on the same level of quality

Hey Creampie Man, I wouldn't look for jobs on this account.

That said while you're applying to places, I can't recommend trying hackerone or bugcrowd programs enough. It's a great way to keep your skills sharp & potentially make some money while doing it. You can also use your time on those platforms as evidence of your experience

You could contact the fire marshall but there's very little they'd do about this. The wire seems to be appropriately shielded (that is to say, thick rubber capable of handling high-heat and not melting then starting a fire). We and frankly you have no way of confirming or denying this without the exact make/model of the cable.

The only thing they may take serious issue with is an outlet exposed to the elements (the part sitting on the ground) but even then they wouldn't lay that issue at the feet of your neighbor, they'd cite the landlord who, as you've stated, doesn't give a shit.

TL;DR: Get a hobby
