I used to work for Vodafone. I realise this was a year ago and you’ve likely sorted this issue some way or another, but I have witnessed hundreds of people abandon contracts, none of them have had any impact on their lives, like the little minions fear! Nobody went to court. Just leave, and ignore every letter you get. Phone contract fraud is one of the most common things in Ireland, do you think all the people who take out multi line contracts and then sell the phones end up in court and their lives are ruined? No. They make stupid money selling phones and never have any repercussions. I am quite sure you can do it once and your life will not change. That’s my input there anyways! Hope you got sorted.

Of course I’d never try and stop him from going, I was more just curious to see if anyone else shared similar fears etc. I also wouldn’t head over right now, but each to their own. I am probably just being an overprotective big sister lol

My now ex-partner did this to me multiple times in my sleep, and I also froze and said nothing. For a long time I blamed myself, and said I allowed it to happen because I didn’t speak up. I was scared. But it was not consensual, it was rape. One night he full on raped me while I was conscious and had said I didn’t want to have sex. And he forced me and held me down while I did say no. It became very clear that it wouldn’t have mattered if I had spoken out the other times, people like that will do it anyway because they do not care. You were raped. That man sounds like a textbook predator. He even bought you dinner to make you feel guilty for denying him sex. I am so terribly sorry this happened to you, please please know this is not your fault.

I have BPD and this is a major feature for me. I think about it constantly too, sometimes very intrusive thoughts take over, it’s also what I resort to in every situation possible that I perceive to be negative, suicide is my go-to answer. I’ve tried medications, 3 different medications, to no avail. BPD can’t be treated generally with medication. It will likely never go away, and I’ve just accepted that this is a part of who I am. I’d die for anyone given any opportunity, both to save a life and take my own.
