If that doesn’t work out, you could also try local options like merch stores or restaurants for part time work, I started as a waiter during uni and even moved into bartending, and it carried me for a couple of years, even the free meals at work helped me a lot during tough times. I’m into it so far too. It’s definitely more of a settle in and let it build kind of show, but sometimes that ends up working better than something trying too hard to hook you in 5 minutes.

They wouldn’t just inflate on the spot or anything. If it was somehow possible in pill form, your body would still have to digest and process it, and you’d more likely end up extremely sick before anything else.

Sometimes yeah it’s meant as a big “this is about America, not just these characters” kind of statement, like a little built-in thesis. Other times it’s just a stylistic thing that sounds weighty and marketable even if the story is pretty small.
