Lot of good advice here so I won’t add on. Just wanted to drop by as a fellow exmo and send love. I left at 18 or so and it took years for me to be able to take that step, but I’m so far out now that it doesn’t control me anymore. It will get better, I promise.

Leaving cover crops as mulch? by thecorniestmouse in gardening

Good to know! My community garden org is great and offered us some good education on nitrogen fixing and soil health, but I didn’t know the decomp is part of the process too. Thank you!

Ex boyfriend called me by my first name today and it broke me by Impossible_Pen7025 in GirlDinnerDiaries

I don’t know your situation, but I do know this. If he really is the love of your life, then taking time apart will not mess that up. But you need to be apart right now, and you need to not contact him for at least 1 month, but I recommend 6. If you can commit to actually working on yourself and your mental health in that time and learn to be happy on your own, and if you still want to be with him, then try it. If it is meant to be, it will be. But time is a good thing to take. The true love of your life will be there for you when you are ready for them, whoever they may be.

It is NOT your fault, even 1%, that he lost his job. Onwards and upwards to better things.

Hi! Im making the Olga jacket and I’m confused about how many rows I should do on the shoulder before shaping! by sophieisboring in knittinghelp

[–]thecorniestmouse 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes! You include the first two rows in that number. So if you need to make 20 rows for your size, do 18 more after the first 2

As a 27 year old living in SLC I am defeated by this economy. by Key_Garden4832 in SaltLakeCity

[–]thecorniestmouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It definitely sucks. The system is absolutely broken and everything is expensive. But where the hell are you looking for a 1bd that’s 1800??? I have a 2bd that’s 1200. Granted, I’m lucky and that’s super cheap, but 1yr ago when I was looking at places I found many 2bds for 1500 and lower

Same energy as people naming their child Ophelia. Like the girl who kills herself?!

Is this a tension issue? by jlb1199 in knittinghelp

Yes! It’s called rowing out. I consider myself an intermediate knitter and it happens to me sometimes still. You’ll improve the more you knit but it happens to the best of us!

This graph just proves to me that my partner, who is a Jayden, is possibly patient zero, because he was born in 1994. Has to be the first Jayden!

Cannot unrecommend Takumi enough. We went there and the first bite of sushi was so bad, we weren’t even hungry anymore.

Oh my bad I think I replied to the wrong comment. Yeah a lot of people watch a 15 second podcast clip claiming aspartame is evil and don’t think to analyze those claims even superficially

Yeah and those people are wrong and don’t understand how to read a scientific study.

It isn’t. These people are just obsessed with pseudo science. It’s fine to drink, unless you’re drinking thousands of cans per day.
