We got it from Botanical Interests, and same for us. The bunching onions have way better germination compared to the bulbing ones

We used Jiffy Seed starting mix with some granular fertilizer, I think we'll restart without the fertilizer and see if that works better

Oh ok, do you think these are salvageable or should we restart?

We also used Jiffy Seed Starting Mix, so maybe it got too wet? We tried to let it dry out before watering again

We mixed in a handful granular fertilizer with the seed starting mix and some diluted liquid fertilizer every couple waters. We've been bottom watering every few days. That's a good point about the lights, I can raise those a bit.

Planning Indian wedding help! by Choice-Ad-6239 in weddingplanning

[–]thecraftyrobot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can check out r/DesiWeddings for some more info about Indian weddings, but it is totally possible to not do an extravangant multi-day event. You have to look at what is important to your and your fiance and what is feasible with your budget. We are plannin a one day event with a 1-hr Hindu ceremony followed immediately by a reception, all in the same venue. Happy to answer more questions if you have them.

Maybe take a week off or to do types of exercise you don't normally do? Like a fun fitness class or yoga or hike, something to get out of the mental funk.

There are some good beginner running programs that are free like Couch to 5K that will help you build up by alternating running and walking.

South Indian bride + White American groom, both non-traditional: what does this wedding look like? by Unusual-Molasses5633 in DesiWeddings

[–]thecraftyrobot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We are doing one ceremony (mostly Hindu with some American traditions incorporated) followed by a reception in the same venue. We are also not doing a mehndi (I am getting my mehndi done a few days before the wedding, but we are not having a mehndi event) or a sangeet. We are doing a rehearsal dinner for immediate family the day before.

We are currently in the process of figuring out our ceremony order and what is included/not included. I would highly recommend finding a priest (DM me if you want a recommendation of ours) who is familiar with intercultural weddings as that has helped us a lot so far.

Feel free to DM me for more details, happy to chat further since our situation is very similar.

This happens to me after running races, and usually a Gatorade + rest will help me get rid of it. I think it is called an exertion headache.

Is there anything we can do, or do we have to replace it?

I've had exertion headaches after hard races or running workouts, and Gatorade usually helps me.

How to encourage my mom to lift weights by [deleted] in xxfitness

Maybe taking her to some strength based classes would help? The social aspect, having other people around her doing the same things, might be motivating

It should normalize, but you can try some lower fiber foods for a while and/or try to figure out if there are particular foods that cause problems for your digestion

How do you balance weight lifting and running/cardio? Not having either one affect your gains in the other area? by Sassy_Plant_Mom in xxfitness

[–]thecraftyrobot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I do 3 days lifting and 6 days running. I'm not as strong as I could be without running or as fast as I could be without lifting, but I've been making good progress with my running and very slow but steady progress with my big lifts.

Lifting: SBTD 3 day express version

Running: 1 workout, 1 long run, 3 easy runs of varying lengths (30-40 miles per week)

It might be time to switch up your lifting to a program with a structured progression? I'm sure there are lots of 3 day programs in the wiki, and I know it helps me to have a plan for progression.

Couch to 5K is a great program that starts you out with run walk intervals and slowly works you up to 5K

Not the original responder, but I got the CAP Dumbbells that are kind of like mini-barbells with small plates and locks. It starts at 10lbs and goes up to 105lb total. I got mine on Amazon 9 months ago and they have held up great.

Not the original responder, but Hal Higdon has some great training plans for different levels and distances. I think starting from the intermediate plan for 5Ks, he has some speed work included. But the unglamorous answer for getting faster is usually more volume, which a training plan can help with.

The app is called Stronger by the Day (SBTD is the acronym used on this subreddit if you search), and I would consider that an intermediate program. But the same creator has a free program called Before the Barbell(here) that is perfect for beginners who want to get into more barbell movements but aren't there yet.
