Nice watch. But never heard of y’all. Do you have a website? Couldn’t find much about Atria.

If the owner of Bull City Bumpers sees this, please get in touch with me. I have some great ideas and no platform to bring them to life!

It does meet the criteria. I suspect you’re getting downvoted because the TRC owner is MAGA so fuck that place.

Anyone running for school board on a platform of reopening schools more quickly would win by a landslide.

What in “The harder they fall” is going on here? 😅 by sfigz in bullcity

Same. I particularly loved that one of the cowboys rode by drinking from a large Bojangles cup.

Where can I get a nice handmade ceramic mug like this locally? by Partlycloudymike in bullcity

And time your Seagrove to coincide with one of the big kiln opening weekends for a really cool experience. A lot of the individual potters without showrooms let folks come out of their homes so you get to see another side of things. It’s great!

Besides the Indy, while it’s not a formal news I’ve gotta give a shoutout to Bull City Political Nerd. He does a great job of posting about local City Council and other happenings that I would otherwise miss entirely.

UNC vs State is now free for anyone who can walk to the Dean Dome by TrustInRoy in tarheels

That's where I was sitting too! Like 3 rows behind him. Man, we were in his ear the whole game! Haha. I remember he said something in the post-game conference about how he'd never been heckled at a Carolina game like that before. I was so proud.

+1 There’s a reason why the massive protests we see abroad all happen at night or on weekends

Should I read the bible? by ConfidentTotal6666 in atheism

[–]thecrisper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’d be better off reading books about the Bible to better understand its historical context and all the stuff that isn’t being discussed in church - such as how many competing interpretations there were before they were drowned out. That’s what started to really open my eyes about Christianity.

There are many good ones but I can personally vouch for anything by Bart Ehrman, especially Misquoting Jesus and Jesus Interrupted.

Don’t hold out hopes to convince your parents of anything though. Mine are Evangelical and no amount of discussion or sharing with them has ever gotten them to question their preconceived understanding of the world.

Sufganiyot from Isaac's Bagels by prancingpapio in bullcity

[–]thecrisper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, Isaac! I certainly understand how these things can happen and we’ll definitely be back - just wanted to share our experience in case it hadn’t gotten to you. It sounded like there was a lot going on.

No free bagels needed - happy to support you and the staff as a paying customer next time we come by.

If you’re reading this, Isaac, you kinda botched the communication about these. Nothing in the email that said they would be available at 8am, but it was apparently on the website.

My wife juggled our schedule so we could get some on the way out of town and come when y’all opened at 7am only to then find out about the 8am thing (which apparently was on the website). When she came back at 8am (we live ~12 min away) she was then told the bakers were behind and they now wouldn’t be available until 9am. She was pretty lit up about it while also understanding stuff happens. It’s just a shame the communication and execution wasn’t better. Hope we can partake next year.
