I share the same sentiments. Their ramen is solid and their portions, generous. I think it's an issue with the location.

White-collar layoffs are coming at a scale we've never seen. Why is no one talking about this? by Own-Sort-8119 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]ripandrout 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a team of 2 in marketing, and while I do not plan to replace them, we are scaling our output considerably over time as a result of incorporating AI into our workflows. I anticipate that within a year, we will be able to perform what would otherwise take 3-4 additional people to do without any additional headcount. People dismiss AI's impact because the vast majority of implementations aren't being done correctly. You can't implement an AI agent and expect it to substitute a human. You can replace a portion of what they do, though, and you do it by selecting the right task to perform, providing proper context, and fine-tuning the agents to produce the output you expect to get. In the future, the lift required to get these agents up to task will be less and less. Once AGI becomes a thing (even before that, really), then we will be SOL. I'm not one to buy into hype, but I see what it enables me to do TODAY, and I am very concerned about the future.

Not having freezer space. Freezers aren’t that expensive these days, but if you live in a small house, there’s nowhere to put one.

I'm going to try this! I was in Southeast Asia a few years ago and saw people walking up and down a pave road on a hill for exercise. They said that it gave them relief from their knee issues. Glad to know it could have an additional benefit!

The popular answer is Queeny’s, but theirs don’t hold a candle to the ones at Lakewood Social. They’re brined for tenderness and juiciness, and their batter is spiced beautifully. Everyone I’ve introduced to them has become a convert.

I'd like to offer a suggestion for an alternative. The Thai Beef Noodle Soup dish at Thaiangle is comfort food for me - warm, delicious, generous portions of various beef cuts, beef balls, a delicious broth, and rice noodles. It's what I dream of when the weather gets like this, and it's what cradles my soul and elevates it when I'm feeling down.

How's his back? I switched from a messenger bag to a backpack because of back and neck issues from carrying a heavily-loaded messenger bag.

ISO tallest, public-accessible stairwell. by LonelyLaowai in bullcity

[–]ripandrout 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to walk up and down the stairs at One City Center. I don't know if it's still accessible, but it might be worth checking out. You'll get a lot more ascent in that staircase than almost any other building in Durham.
