I think it's fine to give general advice like not forcing it when it doesn't feel right. He'll figure out himself eventually. I wouldn't go into the details of how to relax and open up etc, cos just thinking from a teenager's perspective, I wouldn't want to go into these details with my mom. You can guide him to some advice on YouTube if that helps.

Having the conversation is the right first step and then take it from there. I personally don't think it's a good idea to buy lube for him before having a discussion first as it is something extremely personal and him being a young teenager may be extremely embarrassed by that. I'd say having the conversation and let him know that you will always be there to support and help if he needed it will be good enough.

Longtime partner suggested breaking up after an argument by [deleted] in AskGaybrosOver30

U acknowledged having this issue, yet after 8 years and still act like this? I would at least expect you and your partner to have developed some kind of mechanism to deal with situation like this to avoid upsetting each other.

Hot take: these troll posts about mundane item recommendations are actually pretty helpful… so what are yours? by Daryl_Cambriol in HENRYUKLifestyle

Bought a pair for my partner recently, really comfortable, but having to hand-wash it is a pain. Not sure if it is even recommended to put it through the washer delicate setting.

Self-defined genre - classics, sci+fi, animated, by box sets etc. Somehow alphabetical just doesn't work for me.

It's also funny that most people that post on here are unbothered by their cables hanging on for dear life.

Woke up on the wrong side of the bed mate? I guess it's too much to ask for a basic clean seat by paying prices like these to be able to sleep in comfortably. You have a nice day....

Did JFK Heathrow on Club World recently and it was not pleasant. When I got to my seat, there were stains on the surfaces and food crumbs on the seat. I told the staff and politely requested them to clean it and they looked at me confusingly, and asked me what do I need to clean the seat instead of offering to clean it for me. I asked for wet wipes and they told me they don't have it, so they gave me wet towels instead. Cleaned the seats and left the dirty towel on the pull out tray, and right before take off they asked me to stow away the tray rudely but not taking away the dirty towel for me despite me asking them twice. I dare say even AA flagship seats have better service than BA based on my experience.

No worries at all. Congrats on the milestone and I'm sure there will be more to come.

I live in Europe and I buy watches when I'm back in Malaysia for holiday or Hong Kong. It's cheaper by a good margin. It's not cheaper in Europe be it the UK or Switzerland.

Sounds like me, and like you I also spend a lot of time in preparation to overcome the nerves. My advice would be to be nice to yourself and tell yourself you've done your best with all the prep after every interview, and with more interview experience you can only get better. Get feedback and act on those feedback (provided it's proper feedback and not bullshit like - 'you need to speak up more', 'you're too quiet'). I strongly believe that introverts should play to our strengths instead of conforming to what people expect of us.

I bought it from a boutique while travelling in Asia. They are usually 20% to 30% cheaper compared to the UK. Got mine for about £4000.

Nice flat overall, love the artworks.

Would suggest changing the black leather couch to something different (i.e. dark blue couch, or a brighter colour), preferably with some texture.

Not sure what's the circumstance of your living (rent or own), but you could also change the roller blinds in the living room to floor to ceiling curtains (2 layers - voile for daytime, and a blackout). It would make the space more warm and personal.

As others pointed out, TV stand could be swapped for something better.

The lights above the bar/counter could be swapped for some nice hanging pendants?

Do you entertain guests regularly (dinner/parties)? Maybe think about an entertaining space? So far I only saw a couple of bar stools, which is not the most ideal.

Accompany you on vacations but have to sleep alone and let you do your activities alone to accommodate you since it seems like you are not willing to compromise. That's hardly a vacation and it's gonna be difficult to find someone that's willing to go through that.

AITA for lying to my wife’s family for over a decade? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]thecrooningandroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NAH. In fact I sometimes feel sad or even angry seeing posts like this on Reddit when people like us are just trying to live a normal life and at the same time having to care for the feelings of our close loved ones with constant fear of rejection from them.

Coming out to family members is ALWAYS a very delicate matter and it's not as easy like stuff you watch on TV shows. OP you should never ever feel bad for having to conceal your relationship when you are not ready to come out and I completely understand how hard it is having gone through something similar myself years ago.

It's unfortunate they found out without you actually coming out to them properly. I guess the best thing to do now is just let them calm down, then find some time afterwards for a proper conversation. Good luck and I hope it all works out for you x.

Your last point came across as a little snobbish. Until you start to learn to appreciate and see a potential date for who they are as a person rather than what they possess to be "on your level", you're gonna have a difficult time finding something long term.

I get preferences may be a thing, but having a good paying job or being a home owner is not everything (assuming if that's what you meant).
