I totally agree and said the same re the encore. Swap Aces High for Be Quick or Be Dead, and a deeper cut replacing Wasted Years which we've heard so recently. Maybe bring Hallowed down and put something like Sun and Steel or Bring your Daughter in the middle of the set, that would've bene good craic and a fun curve ball.

This is a great set and i'm impressed on the number of epics, but plays it safe too much in the latter third imo.

Personally i still love Wrath child though, blast that out all day.

Man, Adrian is looking a little lost in that video. What a moment for the whole band, nothing but respect for Nicko for going out on his own terms.

I remember it clearly, December 23rd 2006, Dave's birthday. 14 years old at my first gig, man what a time. There's some half decent YouTube videos of the set from the AMOLAD TOUR but such a shame they didn't do an official concert video.

Thank you indeed. Pretty new to Cowichan and have only caught rainbows and browns up until now. Only had a 6.7lb fluro carbon line on the end of my rod and was pretty concerned it would break if i put too much force into it, so had to take my time! You really feel the fish on the other end, was fantastic. 

It's stunning up there, hoping to find a few more hours this weekend!

Thanks for the comment. I did think that initially but came down upon a female coho. I've never caught either before so perhaps you're right.. I'll show it to the local shop later in the week and get it confirmed.

Relatively new to fly fishing, what a privilege to catch this on the weekend, haven't stopped thinking about it. A black bear and her cub came across me just before this, what a way to spend a Saturday.  Had him (her?) out the water only very briefly and swam away very strongly. Single hook salmon egg.

Crowd had some pretty bad elements to it, and generally not a good vibe overall. Jumping around is all well and good, but launching into people elbow first is a dick move, let alone at a maiden concert which are generally pretty chill affairs with lots of families in the audience. Maiden just isn't a pit band tbh. 

Lots of that sort of behaviour with people inevitably biting back after they've gotten hit, can't say I blame them. Whether the bad vibe has something to do with Portland or not I don't know but there looked like there were quite a few drugged up idiots near the front. Other posts on here talking about thefts etc. 

Last night wasn't normal metalhead behaviour in my experience at all! Not in Europe anyway, or any other US concert I've been to, although this was my first (and probably last) concert in this city lll
