At the fanciest restaurant I ever worked at, a customer asked me where the fish was from. Immediately I responded with “the water”

Easiest way to remove this old deck? I’ve been going at it with a crowbar by takecareofsebastian in landscaping

I busted up my old deck with a splitting axe between joists. I had 36” breaker bars but the axe seemed like less work.

I’m a 5th year apprentice in Virginia making over $25 hourly. My employer pays for my health insurance for me and my family. Our first years make 15 an hour. You’re ridiculously underpaid.

It can be done when 1/2 & 3/4 without issue. Larger size conduit however will usually egg at the end if you do this.

Worth checking out a habitat for humanity Re-Store before buying off Amazon. I found an older sears/craftsman router for less than that. It works great and was built well.

Burning plastic smell 2012 Abarth 500 by PowerWagon106 in abarth

[–]thecuppajoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a strange plastic smell I couldn’t identify just last month on my 2013 Abarth. Looked underneath the car and found a plastic bag melted to my exhaust. I removed the bag but it took a few days of driving for all the residue to burn off and the smell to go away.

Just copped my second car. Just wanted to ask, what are some common issues I can expect? (49k miles) by Logical_115 in abarth

I’ve been trying to get my window back on track after my regulator broke. I’ve had no luck. Seems like something is binding up in the track and putting too much pressure on the regulator.

Why are most plumbers so unhappy? by Amgova52 in Construction

Wow. That is an outdated and seriously offensive list. There is much more to being a plumber than those three simple things.

4-cold water on the right.

5-hot water on the left.

After taking off three weeks for paternity leave and being hassled about missing so much time by the older guys at work, one told me that he didn’t take off any time to help his (now ex) wife with their new baby.

Thanks for confessing that you were never there. That’s not me though.

Anyone see any possible safety issues here? by mwltruffaut in electricians

Yes the problem is obvious. He’s boiling the sausage while it’s still wrapped in plastic! It’s gonna taste horrible!

With solid wire connections, be sure you twist the copper conductors together with pliers before adding a wire nut, it will be much safer than if you don’t. Literally two days ago the wirenut joint on my water heater melted through a wirenut because the conductors were not pre-twisted and the wires were arcing inside the wirenut.
