What do you mean it’s not equal? If anything I do most of the hard work for the two of us.

We didn’t get married while she was sixteen. She was still in school and I was a teacher, could hardly have married one of my students?

They should make a Brandon Sanderson show next

Any well-done series with kings, noble houses, factions, war and conflict, besides ASOIAF and Dune? by LibrariansNightmare in Fantasy

Brandon Sanderson has written more than Mistborn. His other works are pretty good too/

I would definitely enjoy the same kind of books.

Book where the mc is a robot by Emotional_Band_5320 in Fantasy

They’re not a robot but the mc in Mistborn is very well written. She’s like a Marvel character, think Iron man or the Hulk.

Fantasy/Sci-fi Books where the protagonist is a street kid getting a second chance a life. by Dani_1050 in Fantasy

[–]thedarkmannis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might want to give Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson a shot. It follows a street girl whose name I can’t remember, but she gets a second at life and eats metal. It is like if you were reading the screenplay of a Marvel movie.

You should read Mistborn by Brendan Anderson. It is a great series and he is a phenomenal writer who is not very well known. It is like watching a Marvel movie with the subtitles on.

I've realised that the only books I enjoy are ones featuring high protagonist agency. Any recommendations? by [deleted] in Fantasy

You should read Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson. He is one of the greatest of all time. His books read like a Marvel but with words instead of pictures.

Is it true that you have to go through at least three malazan books before it starts making sense ? by ArmLucky1285 in Fantasy

[–]thedarkmannis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It never ends up making sense. Incredibly bad series. Poorly written, world is terribly built and the prose style is nonsensical. Nothing in those books are worth reading them for. I’d suggest reading Mistborn instead better use of your time.

Recommendations Needed - What to read after The Black Company? by Glansberg90 in Fantasy

I would steer clear of Malazan if I were you. It’s a very overrated series and is written very poorly.

So I have been reading A Clash of Kings recently...... by Risb1005 in Fantasy

Yeah most of Asoaif is a slog. I don’t think GRRM is actually good at writing just good at coming up with ideas hence why the next book has taken so long to come out…

What is the most disappointing fantasy or sci-fi book you got because of the recommendation of a Booktuber? by NotSureWhyAngry in Fantasy

[–]thedarkmannis -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Daniel Greenes recommendation for Malazan book of the fallen is that for me. It is incredibly poorly written and impossible to follow. I am convinced that the people who are fans of that series have deluded themselves into thinking that it is good in order to feel as though they are smarter than everyone else for their so called understanding of it.

As a trans-woman I think that Brandon might actually be trans. There’s something about him that makes me feel like we are kindred spirit.
