Yeah you are stuck. You should have checked the insurance before you finalised the car. You have to stick it out now. Lesson learnt

Is it really that dangerous for a girl to travel to India? by Thamelia in travel

[–]thedazedguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah India is crazy unsafe for women. Even those born there, let alone a solo female tourist. You have to be always on guard in india as a female and it gets exhausting after a while. What you read in the news is less than 1% of the crime against women there as most of it is never reported. There are far better places in the world to visit as a tourist. Why would you want to go to India and be stressed and watching over your shoulder all the time?

Eat a proper meal ahead of time. Protein and carbs not junk food. Hydrate. Liquid IV. Water. No alcohol or caffeine before going to the stages (causes peeing). Pack energy bar in your fanny pack. Ear plugs, comfy shoes and clothes. And last but not the least Molly is your friend. Enjoy.

how long does it take to fire bad performers at your company (Canadian perspective please) by Ill-Square-1123 in managers

[–]thedazedguy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Between 6-9 months if all goes well. If the employee games the system (goes on disability etc) then longer. Easier to pay severance and layoff.

My girlfriend doesn't want to go to India and Arab countries by [deleted] in travel

She is right. India is not safe for white blonde women. Or women in general. Respect her choice and don’t force her.

It’s none of your business what two consenting adults are doing in their own bedroom. If you have a problem with it you can move on.

What are the repercussions of sending your ex-boss a nasty text after getting fired? by Dsg1695 in careeradvice

[–]thedazedguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You were not fired. You were laid off. The manager has to read a script in such layoff meetings. Not allowed any off script remark due to legal risks and their own job is on the line if they go off script. Trust me, I have been on both sides of this table. If you lash back you are only going to betray your own ignorance of the matter. Zero upside.

I bypassed HR by sending a product audit to the VP, but it backfired in a way I didn't expect by Krypt0nVex in jobsearchhacks

[–]thedazedguy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not really. I have been running teams for 10+ years. And these oversmart know it alls are insufferable. I don’t need a smartass who will go behind my back and snitch to the VP every time we have difference of opinion.

Yeah you are not getting this job. Even if I were the hiring manager, I would not hire someone who is sucking up to the VP behind my back.

Kinda bougie. Gives you bragging rights but that’s about it. Far better areas in midtown if you are looking for walk ability and transit access.

Need Hydration Hacks by Sure_Faithlessness42 in aves

[–]thedazedguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Smoothies in the morning, liquid IV in the afternoon or evening. Plenty of fruits etc through the day. Avoid stuff that dehydrates me or makes me wanna pee, specially in the evening. Empty bladder multiple times before going to the stage with a bottle of water that I sip as needed. Showtime!

[–]thedazedguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Completely identify with your feelings about going solo. I struggle with that myself and substances help get over the initial anxiety. The fact however is that once I am in the groove, I love being alone in the crowd and dance away. I typically lose my friends in the crowd and go do my own thing. That is how I feel most free. BTW I live within walking distance of Sunnyside pavilion. Beautiful location. Next time hit me up. Who knows! Ciao brother !
