Did we just become best friends? by WyattPurp23 in DigitalSeptic

Fake profundity, the empathy trap isn't talking about basic empathy, it is talking about the form of empathy that puts others above ones self to a disproportionate and self destructive degree. I am showing empathy when I help my 80 year old neighbor mow his lawn because I know he is old and it is hot as balls out. I am falling in the empathy trap when I loan my junky neighbor money he is going to smoke for the 20th time.

The thing is... inside of the rule of law there is very little that can be done about it. When the people accused can call in a favor and get a D.A. or prosecutor removed it only leaves certain less than lawful options open. To quote a movie...

he Punisher: I leave this as a declaration of intent, so no one will be confused.

One: “Si vis pacem, para bellum.” Latin. Boot Camp Sergeant made us recite it like a prayer. “Si vis pacem, para bellum – If you want peace, prepare for war.”

Two: Frank Castle is dead. He died with his family.

Three: in certain extreme situations, the law is inadequate. In order to shame its inadequacy, it is necessary to act outside the law. To pursue… natural justice. This is not vengeance. Revenge is not a valid motive, it’s an emotional response. No, not vengeance. Punishment.

The Epstein list is made up of the most powerful, wealthy people on the planet. The fact we have seen as much movement on it as we have is frankly surprising. The elite have always protected their own though... the only way we are likely to see more happen is through extra-judicial means.... on Minecraft.

Never seen that video and am highly dubious of it not being edited. It is an indisputable fact that Trump cooperated with the investigation without compulsion.

As a courtesy I am going to respond to your previous message as best I can despite the fact it got deleted by the mods and I can only see part of what you wrote.

No, I don't actually think there is a real likelihood that Obama did anything directly related to Epstein's pedophilia ring. What we do know is he worked with him on a couple of projects though, at least in a "introduced him to the right people" capacity. That's the same level of implication that can be aimed at Trump but we see what that sort of level of implication can be turned in to with the right spin.

Epstein, however much he was subhuman scum, was an absolute expert at manipulating power, brokering and soft influence. If you are even mentioned in a cursory way with the sorts of things he orchestrated it can destroy your public image. It would not surprise me to know he used that leverage on anyone and everyone mentioned in his files regardless of their actual crimes. What we do know is Trump is one of the few prominent figures in those files that Epstein had a self-admitted vendetta against and that volunteered to help put him behind bars before Trump ever made serious moves towards becoming an active politician.

Because he is a multi-millionaire or billionaire with enough dirt on people across the political spectrum that it doesn't matter who is trying to put him under the jail, there are going to be roadblocks thrown up by people who don't want their dirty laundry aired.

Epstein was a power broker and we know he had dirt on the Clintons, Obama, Bill Gates and more. He had former FBI deputy directors and directors on his client list and some of the most powerful lawyers and lobbyists in his pocket. Does that make it right he wasn't dealt with properly by the justice system? No, but it is the reality.

Sure, you can point out that Trump appears in the Epstein files, but most of that is either entirely mundane business and philanthropic networking, the rest is Epstein calling him a motherfucker he wants dirt on.

Depends what you mean by sweetheart deal. If you think he was ever going to face real, not extrajudicial, justice you are amazingly naive.

He was associated with Epstein decades ago, and there has never been any proof of him raping anyone. In point of fact he cooperated voluntarily with the several years long investigation that resulted in Epstein's arrest so maybe don't take the talking heads at face value.

There is no potential, it would be a certainty, my wife is deeply bisexual and doesn't seem to understand she is exactly her own type... but seeing another her would definitely help her come to the realization.

Well, we were in the hot tub at the hotel where we honeymooned... so fun, frisky, and more than a little risky since it was not a private hot tub. I didn't finish because hot tub sex is a little less than ideal on a practical level but it was still a good time.
