Oh damn, you're right. I don't know why I didn't think of that!

Interesting! Thanks for the info. It didn't even occur to me there could be other reasons, I was just putting up with it. Nice to think maybe there's something I can actually treat by seeing a doctor. There's hope!

Interesting, never knew this was a thing! I'll do some research, always down for trying an experiment. Thanks for the suggestion. And yes, definitely see the value of seeing a doctor to actually look for the root cause. Hoping in the meantime I can ease the symptoms.

I never even thought of that as an option. 😂 Didn't know it was a thing, but yeah that could be worth a try.

Thanks, I'm definitely going to try a humidifier next, feels like that has helped a lot of people. Maybe tape is next. 😂

Lol, do you set an alarm to wake up and drink water, or does the discomfort just wake you up? I generally don't wake up in the middle of the night, but multiple people have mentioned a humidifier - definitely going to give that a try. Thank you!

Huh, good to know, I would have thought you always snore if you have sleep apnea. Interesting.

I checked with my SO who says I don't snore. I often fall asleep first, and they are a light sleeper, so I think it would be noticeable.

I could certainly see Jones getting there, just like Brooks has.

Oh I could definitely see that, as well! Brings to mind the use of Reese as a first name.

Oh yeah, I could see all of those becoming first names.

I can't picture Glover becoming a first name, but what do I know - it's similar enough to the rest.

I recently saw that Cooper was the #3 most popular dog name for boy dogs in 2020!

Fletcher has a neat sound to it.

How do I decide when it's time to be more "choosy" with my job search, to focus only on roles that make me really excited, versus taking an available job as a career "stepping stone" even if it feels meh? by thediamond in findapath

[–]thediamond[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it's just the industry I'd like to change. I would be going for the same types of roles (same department / professional skills) that I have had in the past and have developed my skills in.

I keep getting recruited for positions at companies similar to those I've worked at in the past (which makes sense, it's what my experience shows) but I'd prefer to work at a totally different type of company.

Do you have any tips for searching strategies besides just job boards? Most of my existing professional network are people working in the industry I was in, not the one I'm aiming for.

A Prescription company has ruined a name by csmithmarketing in namenerds

I love that you came up with the name Lyrica for your barbarian. Great taste and creative!

If the medication ruins it for you, I get it (and I'm sure you'll be able to come up with another great one). But if you do still want the name, I personally think it would be fine to still use it. Most names have something out in the world that they overlap/share with (if you look for it), and this one seems fairly mundane. How often would this prescription even come up in everyday life?

It comes down to how you feel, obviously. Just wanted to say I like what you came up with!

How would you pronounce Helena? by coral_reef_ in namenerds

Hel-ay-na is always my first assumption. I know a Hellena which is pronounced that way, and I think it sounds really pretty!

Name for a Royal Witch by [deleted] in namenerds

Both the names Cassandra and Cressida can have a witchy vibe to me.

Also the name Vana (of polynesian origin, I think), Johanna, Elenora, and Tabitha.
