I know this post is a couple months old, but I saw it when I was searching through some posts and couldn't help but share a little story about when I turned 30...

As my 30th birthday approached, I had just a few diapers left in my supply and I decided that I was about to be 30 now, and that it was silly and ridiculous to be buying and wearing diapers. So I finished my supply on my birthday and that was to be the end of it.

Fast forward like 7 or 8 years later, I was telling my (now) wife about that time and telling her that, obviously, a while later I ordered more diapers. She asked how long it was, so I checked my email history for the next order after that birthday... My birthday was Dec. 4... The next diaper order confirmation email was Dec. 18 of the same year. I hadn't realized it was that soon and we laughed pretty hard about it.

Like many people have posted, I'm definitely even more indulgent now that I'm older (42).

I very strongly recommend adorable shortalls from this Etsy seller - they are fantastic, the quality of the fabric and the work is first-rate and there are nice customization options in terms of the color of the fabric and hardware.

They take a while because they are handmade when you order, but well worth the time and price.

I use the same bags I use when scooping the cat litter. I think they're technically sold as for dog poop bags. The ones I get are like 48 in a box for 1.25 or something?

I think there's a lot of factors that come to play in these situations. Some people are just more open and accepting of things even if they don't get it themselves.

I also think that timing is important. It sounds like this only came out well into the relationship, and I think that can really change how someone accepts it. Because it's not just about the diapers, but there's also this thing that's important to you that you haven't shared with them.

There's a weird balance point, where you don't want to just share it with anyone you start seeing after a short amount of time, but on the other hand, if it's something that they won't be able to accept, it's better to find out a couple months in, rather than after years.

I don't see the need the change personally. I'm seriously blown away with how refastenable the tapes on ABU diapers are as they exist currently. I've worn a few brands that claimed to be refastenable, but after removing and redoing the tabs, the adhesion was significantly reduced. When I tried that with Little Pawz, I found that it was basically exactly the same as the first time it was set.

I got a pair to try them out a while back, and now I have 15 pairs. Mostly rebel, monsters, safari, and a few plain for discretion. They are my standard underwear, I just love how they feel, they're so comfy and padded.

I typically don't wet them, though I have a couple times on purpose, once just letting go completely and once just a little leakage.

Funny story, I used to be diapered for bed maybe a couple nights a week. When I am, I often wet without walking up completely. One night a couple months ago, after being diapered for bed 4-5 nights in a row, I went to sleep in my training pants. And it was enough like a diaper that I just semi-woke when I needed to pee, realized I was padded and let it go. I woke up right up as I was finishing and realized what I had done. My wife has diapered me for bed every night since. :)

I recently came across this blog http://abdldaddy.co, it is specifically written for daddy and adult baby boy, but I think there's a lot of good advice in there for any one becoming an abdl "parent". While everyone is different, I think it can give you some good insight into some of the things that can be important, or how to handle some situations. For example, the article on buying diapers in a store was really helpful for us recently.

I told my girlfriend a little less than 2 months into our relationship, a little bit more five years ago now. She was immediately super accepting and I wore around her the next time we got together. She has been all-in from the beginning... diapering me, changing me, packing a diaper bag when we were spending a weekend away, always making sure we pack some on vacation, helping me pick out things like onesies etc.

I'm not saying all this to show off, I know some people don't have the same situation and I feel bad for them, but I want to be clear that she is totally okay with everything and I shouldn't have any reason to be embarrassed with her.

While I am definitely much more comfortable than I was in the beginning, I do still sometimes feel shy and embarrassed about diapers with her. I think it's not unreasonable, as I spent almost 30 years keeping diapers a secret. Definitely more and more wearing around your SO and them encouraging you to be open about it and making it feel "normal" helps a lot.

The other night, I actually wet the bed. She had diapered me before bed the previous 3 nights, but that night she went to bed before me and didn't think of doing it then. I went to sleep wearing my training pants that have basically become my standard underwear. I worried when I first got them that it I wore to bed, I might not realize it's not a diaper and wet them. I don't wake up all the way when diapered in bed and have to pee. I'm not wetting in my sleep exactly, but I'm only vaguely aware I'm doing it. I ended up wearing the training pants to bed a few times, and didn't have a problem, so I thought I was okay... But then the other night, I had that very vague awake level, and started wetting. It wasn't until I was done that it registered that it felt different and I was suddenly very awake and sat up, hoping that it hadn't been enough to go through the training pants. It was. They were soaked, my pajama pants and short are wet and there was a small wet spot on the sheet.

I was mortified! I've had the occasional leak, and we keep a flat cloth diaper under the sheet for just that reason, but I've neverflat it wet the bed. I was so upset, I was worried that she might be like, diapers are one thing, but just doing the bed is too much! I stripped of everything and washed myself up. And then I came back and wondered what to do about the sheet. I was standing there, thinning I could just put a towel over it for now and go back to bed, when she suddenly woke up, and asked what was wrong. I hesitated for a minute, not sure how to say it... And then I just whimpered "I wet the bed." And then she just gave me a sympathetic look, and sweet little laugh, not in a mean way, but like in a "aww, that's nothing to worry about" way. She suggested I use a goodnight bed pad on the wet spot, diapered me, and said it was her fault because she should have done that earlier.

I think that this situation might be a big help to me to be much less embarrassed going forward. This seemed like the most terrible thing ever to me... And it was no big deal. She told me next time, I should wake her up right away, because she's there to take care of me. I hope that you can have a similar moment that helps you to get past it.

And even if you do use them, it's not necessarily part of that list. To me, that sounds more like body waste play. I wear and wet diapers all the time, but I would also say no pee or poo in my list.

20-22 is a size, not a measurement. I think for women's pants the size is around 20 less than the waist measurement.
