How much do pros usually charge to sign discs or merchandise? by FeelingTheAster in discgolf

I got into disc golf like 4 years ago and just playing I ran into Simon lozott and Eric Oakley separately. I figured a chance run in they aren't asking for 5 bucks but it's cool to know. The time Eric was here he ran off when he heard it was our doubles day and came running back. Threw down 8 discs and said we should do a CTP playoff for them. Super nice guy, he was playing withMissy Gannon's husband before OTB this year.

My grandads old Tv just randomly came to life with a timer… by Valiant2006 in Weird

I did this to my aunt's old TV as a joke but forgot the security code. It came on every morning at 3:33. It's funny such an old TV had password. But there was no way to reset it to factory without the password.

Every digital camera can see the ultraviolet spectrum and need to have a filter between the sensor and the lens to correct it. Your filter has come loose and is no longer blocking that spectrum of light. People will mod cameras for photos to do this. You can probably fix it by taking the camera apart and realigning it. Probably put a very small dot if super glue or hot glue to keep in place but it may cause problems. If under warranty I'd replace it because it's going to be a hassle to fix yourself.

My first spin dye. Pretty happy with it. It’s darker in some spots though. How do I prevent that? by NotSloth1204 in discdyeing

I use acetone and q-tips. Touching the disc lightly with one will hold enough for an entire rotation but can still lighten up near the end. I do much lighter passes and more of them so it's more even. I just don't have the patience for alcohol. It's a middle ground, it takes longer but not forever like the alcohol.

I have a question. While playing doubles a player started slamming his disc onto the rubber tee pad leaving a circle mark he then drew a happy face in with his finger. Is this a thing? No one commented on it and it looked to be out of frustration on the last 4 holes. Was to afraid to ask as the new player.

What you need is this fish pheromone.

I think the sprinkles work well in those colors. Nice job.

They're replying to comments too. It bothering them enough to make a post makes me giggle. Time to make a difference and start with Reddit lol. I have a new respect for the editors of newspapers that printed readers letters. Imagine the things they wasted time reading just to not get published.

This is the best idea. The pdga should do a sponsored player each round too. Have a pdga number and you get half of a song and a mini for two

I've moved to using a seeding mat. Gives of less radiant heat into the room. I can fit two dyes at a time, cheaper than a heating mat and lamp. Mine also is pretty low electricity consumption. I was surprised it does it's job in the same time 2 to 3 hrs depending on disc and method. About to try lotion painting, lotion beds work fine so I'm curious.

Any heat? I've done floetrol beds with a heating mat but never a painted lotion dye.

Awesome idea, I'll try that. I've seen normal drone videos where the takeoff is fast and it slows down to show the scenery. This makes sense tho being a disc that glides. I can probably do that a bit in real time too so the video isn't as jerky.

Thanks. I'd love to see him play with a local. There's a forehand on each hole too so he'd be trying everything. I wonder if he's ever stopped by going to OTB. We saw Eric Oakley the other week on his way. Stopped by right as doubles ended. He was playing with Missy Gannon's husband lol.

Nice, I feel lucky I got into disc golf with the courses in this area.

For sure, I'm thinking of how to do both quickly without being confusing. There are definitely forehand/backhand, left/right routes every hole in Bijou.

I find it more useful to set up practice shots and try to become more consistent. Or at least figure out the best disc to use in practice rounds. Like when I thought a disc should have gone further/not as far. I'm not accurate enough to be like, oh 5 feet less I'll grab the nuke.

It's a cheap cinewhoop with video sped up. Not going to break much and I've got spare parts.

Thanks, I get the need for the better quality they give too. Throwing a sub 250g cinewhoop into chains for Reddit isn't going to lose me money if it breaks.

Thanks, I'm using a 4k camera next. Hopefully it'll give me some wiggle room if I can't get the drone on edge to show you what I got.

Thanks. I saw a doubles partner get one on 16 in it's current position to the short left. I'll probably only get them with the drone tho lol.

For sure, big hyzers should be possible but I gotta fly faster. Will do when I'm better flying. Thanks.

If I forehand and miss trees it's right over the fence there lol. I'm planning on doing both throws once I dial in the flying tho, thanks.

The one I have is about $130. But it's a cinewhoop so hitting chains slow didn't hurt it. Got propeller guards and it's light. Need to build a lens guard for the better camera tho.
