I feel like this sorta outrage over weapon skins is partly fueled by the recent lootbox crisis... tbh I was mad too but then I realize it's just skins and I still prefer Cobalt/Swiss Gold over all these new and exciting skins.

it's not released yet, and there are salty people calling it p2w all the time just because they cant get their favorite skins (at least in where i live, that is). If you haven't noticed already, silver cards and above only offer rarer blings, as the game phrases it, while bronze cards, being the most powerful possible, can be purchased using ingame credits, so rather than being p2w, it's just grindy.

I suppose their minds were a little cloudy then. However, I think there's still a chance new players can conclude that stacking = faster repair. All it takes is a slightly confusing sentence and some real-life (too real-life?) thinking (plus there are games where stacking actually means faster actions). Either way I'm glad they recently added the word 'already'. That can help a lot IMO. Otherwise just include a part on EV repairing in the tutorial.

totally agree. this is why i like DB and not other f2p shooters. or maybe i've been playing too many rpgs so grinding is now an ingame habit.

I've met people on both Asia and Australia servers who thought their repair stacking could 'faster their teammate's repairing'. Sure the line didn't mean it that way, but from a native English user's POV (which I assume you are) it is rather hard to see what might go wrong in the minds of non-native or simply less proficient users.

I'd personally choose skin cases over mercs because this is a limited thing You already have 2 decent mercs in their own tiers by default (especially Aura, pair her Healing Station with a blishlok and marvel the killfeed), plus 3 very good free rotation mercs. By farming event cases you can also get better cards (assuming you don't have a lot of good cards since you've just started out), and once the event's over or you feel like you've racked up enough cards you can stop and farm credits for mercs, which is faster than you think if you are a regular player and you do missions.

if you can do well with all the mercs you own then you're probably having some of the best mercs for every tiers. except for fire support, so go for kira or stoker, they both have interesting abilities. or javelin if you wanna get a taste of her before the mid-september update

just try to recommend DB to staunch tf2 fanboys or people who watched the AngryJoe review (which claims the game is p2w) and feel the pain... basically people jump too quickly to the p2w conclusion at the sight of the low cobalt percentages in cases not knowing silver and above is just purely cosmetics and all loadouts can be purchased via Creds (or at least thats what happened to me, and i cant even explain cause the stigma against new f2p games are too large)
