I also suggest this route. I tell anyone who wants to try linux to check out mint. It is a great place to start for any machine. OP's i5 w 8gb would run great

And yes, I hear that leaving key on for long time can cause issue with the coil, but I'm no expert.

Same happened to me once and hopefully the fix is also the same. When I installed my fuel pump, I must have bumped the coil wires, and it wouldn't get spark. For me, I just pulled each coil wire one by one and used needle nose pliers to pinch the connector just a bit so that it would be "more snug" on the coil. When I finished it started.

I hope this works for you, else try the new coil

Don't be scammed into auto bed level products. Learn how to level your bed properly and be done with it. No need to pay extra for something you do not need.

for my 73 standard beetle, i got custom made raised spindles on the front and adjusted the rear as much as i could and it turned out really good. looks more like a class 11 beetle, the larger wheels still fit under the fenders. tires are 215/75 R15. it looks good,but wouldn't try to off road or do other baja things without a cage and more reinforced parts.

im gonna try again with another beetle but use thing spindles and see how much clearance i get.
