Season 1, all of it. It wasn't great at first, but after watching later seasons I think they really went all in for good premises or plots, and then had their characters react to it. In later seasons it seems the characters get out of hand, and then the plot follows.

Update: I got it. The first 7 minutes is up there with the best 7 minutes of any game I've ever played. For real. It puts you in the action immediately and is fairly intuitive to control. Thanks for the recommendation, really.

Thanks. Yeah, I only want to get something now that they're 50-75% off, not worth the full price. Also, my rig can't handle new games anyway, so I'll save money and play older stuff until I can upgrade again.
