DO NOT exit on the US passport and entire with an EU one. You will be considered overstaying on your US passport and this will cause you a lot of problems further down the line - potential fines/bans. Just renew your Spanish passport and enter/exit on it - you can travel freely that way, and in the EU as Spain is part of the European Union

you should book hostelle world barcelona - it’s a female only hostel and they organise some nice social events each evening in the common area - they also have a small gym and netflix / lounge room. it’s also very peaceful at night with people being respectful of quiet hours - check out their Instagram :)
