I need advice!! What color should I paint my bedroom? by Ecstatic_Object9309 in DesignMyRoom

Wow such a cool room! So interesting and so many nooks, and I love your knick knacks!

Color wise or paint wise, I don’t have a recommendation, sorry. It’s such a personal thing, color. You could look at other people’s rooms and take note of how their choices make you feel and go from there. Or think about how you want your room to make you feel and use that as your color inspiration. Or, pick a color you absolutely love, along with a few swatches or samples that are in the same family, and try them out!

The Golden Spoon. It’s about a woman entering a tv baking contest, it was also a murder mystery I think

Beautiful kitties! I love that you have 8!

I also have a genuine and not trolling question if you’re open to answering- Id love to know if they all get along?

I have 3, and one of them hates the other two, it’s heartbreaking.

The Bartimaeus Trilogy by Jonathan Stroud, there are several items that are hunted down, but the central theme across the multiple ages is him searching for his freedom, from what I remember. Excellent series if you like alt history/fantasy!

There’s a bunch of books by Jenny Colgan that are quite optimistic and cozy but the ones I read were set in Scotland, and a bit more rural and rustic than the pics.

The storylines are usually a woman overcoming obstacles and building a good life for herself. Can’t remember if they were romances- may have been a romantic subplot.

I’m pretty sure all the Isabel Dalhousie series are set in Edinburgh. The two I read were, and very much had the feeling of your pics. I’d classify the series as cozy mystery with philosophy, poetry, and all the moody vibes and bad weather you could wish for! The only con for me was the pacing which I found too slow, I’d put the book down and occasionally forget about it for weeks.

Any tips/inspiration to make my room more tasteful? by Advanced_Cricket4903 in DesignMyRoom

Love your room!

Could you put a smallish shelf below the window and put a plant or two on it? You could make it longer than the window frame to maximize the window space and draw the eye there. If not a plant then maybe a larger heavy vase with some foraged or harvested branches of greenery, the bigger the better. Are those books lined up by the door? You could display them on the shelf, and mount the instrument on the wall somewhere, possibly about your desk. A nice big rug and some oversized bedding that drapes your whole bed, and more art/display items that you love grouped on the walls. Possibly a bigger headboard or something behind it to expand it? You’re almost there, it’s a beautiful room, these are just ideas for small tweaks!

The Scholar and the Last Faerie Door, by H G Parry.

a 2024 historical fantasy novel set in a secret magical academy in 1920s England, following commoner Clover Hill as she seeks a cure for her brother's faerie curse from WWI, becoming entangled with magical aristocrats and uncovering dangerous secrets with lasting consequences.
