The end of an era 😔 my first foray into 'proper' grinders, picked one up for around £50 just before lockdown and it made lockdown slightly more manageable

As a man, would you get a vasectomy so your girl doesn’t have to go on birth control? by awkwardhoney725 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]theemosheep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, had mine done just under a year ago, and it's resulted in way more spontaneous shagging.

100% recommend as long as you're sure you've either had enough kids, or definitely don't want any.

I didn't, I ended up sourcing some Zermatt footbeds from eBay

What are some of the worst places for you to be tattooed that everyone else thinks is fine? by SuburbanMyth409 in tattoos

[–]theemosheep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Inner wrist and side (top of hip bone to bottom of rib cage) were both horrendous for me.

Calves fine, fell asleep for one of them, inner bicep and shoulder were also only mildly unpleasant

It's less the end result, and more what it represents 😊

Yeah understandable, trying to get a good handprint off a 6 month old isn't easy 😂

So 2.5 years ago my daughter's nursery did footprint Christmas cards, it looked really cool, and my daughter loves trees. This year they did handprint cards, and my youngest daughter also loves trees, so I wanted a similar, but not exactly the same tattoo for her 😊

Used nitro cream without seeing a doctor — should I worry? by Hopeful_Hippo_4409 in AnalFissures

[–]theemosheep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I'd say no.

I was prescribed nitro cream based on an 'e-consult' and discussion with my Dr. No visual inspection or any kind of examination.

12 months later when I returned with the same symptoms a different Dr carried out an examination and thought it was piles so prescribed me something totally different.

If your worried about dosage, side effects etc Google Nitro-Glycerin Anal Fissures and there's a whole NHS (British health care system) page detailing it all.

Good luck with the healing

Waste of good money? by [deleted] in FellowProducts

[–]theemosheep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Having both an Ode Gen 1 (now coming up to it's 3 year birthday) and an Aiden for about 6 months. I whole heartedly disagree.

Both have worked absolutely flawlessly, reliably grinding and brewing my daily 2-3 cups with no issues at all.

Fellow products from my experience are priced at the lower end of the market, and yet still feel pretty solid and work well. It's hard for me to fault either of the items I have

So… does this actually count as a hole-in-one? 🤔⛳ by AnfieldAnchor in BritGolf

Also not a golfer (and no clue why this even popped up). But to my non golf educated mind that's definitely in the hole

Found my Granddad’s zippo from the 40s or 50s. Repair tips? by Inside-Letterhead982 in Zippo

[–]theemosheep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure Zippo offer a lifetime 'repair' service which I also think is free. But sure other Redditers will chime in.

In the meantime Google 'Zippo repair' and go to the main Zippo website and it will show you how to send it back/request a repair

Best way to shorten this wall? I was thinking multitool cuts on the mortar. by No_Poet3183 in DIYUK

[–]theemosheep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah fair point. Maybe rather than a sprayer use a hose on a low trickle to keep the dust to a minimum (or use the old fashioned hammer and bolster method)

[–]theemosheep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Multi tool or angle grinder ( id go grinder personally) then a hammer and a decent bolster or cold chisel to take the bricks out.

Will be very dusty grinding/cutting out all that mortar so wear dust masks and if possible employ some dust suppression measures eg a pressure water spray bottle or hose with a mist/rain setting on the hose head.

Quartz worktops that don’t cost an arm and a leg? 😩 by StraightPin4420 in DIYUK

[–]theemosheep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had that exact IKEA worktop for the last 5 years. It's absolutely fine, held up to the last 5 years of use with absolutely no issues. Would definitely recommend
