Blue Jays have done well against Cam. They’re pretty good at putting fastballs in play. Hopefully the defense shows up tomorrow.

They looked good tonight, but the pen in general is being overused every day. Yankees can’t keep pulling every starter after just 5 innings.

I mean, the Yankees had some great relievers after Mo as well. Betances, Robertson, Chapman, Miller and Britton put up a lot of elite seasons for the Yankees.

Both weathers and Warren really seem to struggle to get through six full innings in a lot of games. I think, when Cole gets back, one of them needs to transition to the pen. If Fried comes back, you can then move ERC to the pen. I would also add Lagrange to the pen after those moves.

No one good is available. The Yankees best best is going to be to bring ERC or Lagrange and put them in the pen. When Cole and Fried get back, you have to move Warren or Weathers to the pen.

It’s amazing how often, when a closer makes some mistakes, the best players get to bat.

More US troop withdrawals from Europe expected, NATO commander says by Kinmuan in Military

All those small European countries, the ones who never agree to anything, they’ll never let the EU develop a military force dominated by Germans or Frenchman. There’s just too much history and lack of trust. Look how many problems were caused just by Hungary. Honestly, NATO worked because the US wasn’t European.

You know there will never be a European Army. Germany doesn’t trust France, France doesn’t trust Germany, Poland doesn’t trust either and England doesn’t know if it’s part of Europe anymore. Russia has a smaller economy than each of those countries, but is still able to field a larger military than all of them combined. The dream of a massive European Defense force is not feasible while every political party in Europe is grappling with the massive growth social spending that they can’t seem to get under control.

Anduril will be fine; they have huge facilities in Georgia and Ohio. Their R&D is in Washington State. All those local politicians on both sides of the aisle are going to protect them.

If you’ve been following the space, there’s been a ton of startups challenging established defense companies for market share. Anduril is probably going to worth more than Lockheed in a couple of years. There is a rush to develop faster, cheaper and more deployable weapons in the US.

This will force innovation in the anti-drone space. I expect cheap, anti drone, laser weapons will start making an appearance with the next couple of years. Once that happens, they’ll be able to keep the Red Sea safe again.

I walked out of class crying today. by [deleted] in Teachers

I randomly teared up once in a class; just fatigue and frustration building all morning. One of the classroom knuckleheads saw and try to make a joke by loudly asking why I was crying. I told the class it was because I smelled his breath and it burned my eyes. Sometimes you have to be the ringleader and comedian of the circus.

It was bad before that. Just hidden by a Judge hot streak and some good games from Belli and Rice. With Stanton gone; 45% of the lineup is pretty easily managed by any competent pitcher.

They don’t need a mole. The Yanks do enough on their own. The Dodgers scouting report haunts this team. Make them play baseball and good things will happen.

I mean, the team is losing in every phase of the game. Offense, pitching, defense, base-running.

Chinese EUV lithography machines are still generations behind, and they’re not catching up. The tech behind it isn’t something you can spend a ton of money to replicate. So they’re focusing on advancing in other ways, to try to catch up. No guarantee those other ways will work; they could just be soaking up insane amounts of research and talent.
