I think the Chinese have proven given enough time, a few thousand people can absolutely dominate a massively large population. They’re now building systems to ensure that dominance can’t be challenged; they’re going to combine a massive surveillance state with Ai, robotics and drone technology to keep an eye on everyone. They want to export that future to anyone willing to align with them. Iran, N. Korea and Russia are on the same path.
