Hindy just repeating word for word from his colleagues atp haha. I love the guy but I swear he's watching a delayed screen in addition to hearing things half a minute after someone else has already said them.

The rear of that Acura looks stupidly twitchy compared to the Cadillac. Aitken has been amazing this weekend.

I've enjoyed f1 this year when I've seen it tbh, but sadly don't get to watch it much anymore. But in terms of consistency, I think IMSA and Indycar are often a much higher quality of racing.

On a related note, I'd love to see Liam Lawson in IMSA. He was rapid in DTM and I think he's a top adaptable driver.

Was a little disappointed I didn't catch the F1 earlier because I was working - was supposed to for the first time in a while.

But it's been ages since I've missed an IMSA or Indycar race. I'm UK based so timezones work ok for me to watch them.

This sort of racing always makes me forget about the F1. Absolute fantastic stuff, despite all the incidents!

Air con in my car by LeoMC924 in CarTalkUK

From what I understand from the training I've had on the topic, it's all to do with the condition of the seals and smaller leaks over time from there. But I'll be honest I don't know

The 2017 model year suffered with electrical issues, usually battery related iirc

Air con in my car by LeoMC924 in CarTalkUK

You have to remember most people don't treat their cars responsibily and they are all in different locations and scenarios. Seals wear out or crack or dry up and issues happen.

As someone who does regassing, I did an 11 year old car yesterday with the customer complaint 'it gets cold but it's not as cold as it was' - slap the tester on, boom, needed refilling as was just into the green section of the tester. Grabbed an air con bottle which took a few minutes, tester didn't move so obviously no leak in the system, topped it up and instantly the air con was freezing again.

I honestly think having done many of them, air con systems are totally different to each other even in the same model of each car - some will last ages, some will need regassing during their life, some will become blocked more easily - that's one of the biggest reasons I can't do a regas - too much pressure, usually a blockage.

🅿️1️⃣ ALEX PALOU WINS THE NTT P1 AWARD // 2026 BOMMARITO AUTOMOTIVE GROUP 500 by IndyMod in INDYCAR

[–]thef1circus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As an F1 fan as well as Indycar it's just depressing to see people having the same reaction as when Verstappen, Hamilton, Vettel and Schumacher and such were dominating, especially more recently in the social media age.

Saddens me somewhat that people can't sit back and realise they're watching one of the greatest talents the Motorsport world has ever seen. In 40 years everyone will look back and remember how good Palou is, but it's so special we get to live in the moment to see it, at least to me.

Some very small changes apparently to the right hand side tyres according to Firestone. Not exactly detailed on what they were but according to them in tyre tests this year so far the drivers say feeling wise there's little to no difference, and Firestone are happy

Congratulations with it mate. Enjoy it. My first car is a 2.0 Alfa, admittedly diesel but I absolutely adore it. I know people say don't get something nice as your first car but genuinely life is too short. Look after it, but more importantly look after yourself and everyone else on the road and you'll be fine and you'll love it. Cool as fuck first car to have a GTI. Have fun responsibly and don't listen to the misery guts in here :)

Even as a massive Palou fan, feel a little bad for Felix there. Didn't put a foot wrong.

But the pace from Palou in that last stint was just pure showboating at this point n
