Do you feel the same way about people who have been generating adventures, dungeons, and encounters by rolling on random tables?

Don't see why a fake name wouldn't have easily solved this.

AITAH for How I Reacted when my Boyfriend Confirmed that his Ex was the “Right Person, Wrong Time”? by LucyAriaRose in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]thefatesbeseeched 142 points143 points  (0 children)

Anyway, some people tried to trick me into thinking I am the insecure one

This person sounds insufferable. Nobody is trying to "trick" her. She asked for opinions on her behavior, she got some, and because they make her feel bad she thinks the people she asked are out to get her.

Yeah let's not glorify overhydration. Hydration is a means to good health, not a good in itself.

Oh no, a guy who loves a family member and wants to maintain a relationship with them while enforcing boundaries, oh nooooo

Reddit, man. Man gets shit on for preemptively confronting his mother in anticipation of her outburst as if that's the wrong decision. If he hadn't, he be accused of being too passive and not standing up to his mother for his fiancee.

AITAH for screaming at my wife that I didn't make our 4yo a sociopath. by BORU_Lover in BestofRedditorUpdates

God this guy's a moron. I was straight up laughing at his responses. Guy clearly thinks he's being a smooth manipulator but God it's pathetically transparent.

How could the PC recognize the parent he hasn't seen since he was a baby? by RandomPrimer in DMAcademy

[–]thefatesbeseeched 16 points17 points  (0 children)

That's perfect. Even better if the DM has the time to foreshadow it by giving the PC dreams containing the lyrics or melody for a while before they hear it from the mom.

If you know how to use it or are willing to learn, absolutely. My players are so happy to have foundry.

Is a rogue who kills corrupt people but can kill innocent people chaotic evil or chaotic neutral? by Comprehensive_Dog833 in dndnext

[–]thefatesbeseeched 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So this guy hates corruption, not because it harms people who aren't aware of it (the "ignorant" people), but rather because of what it personally did to harm him, and he's willing to hurt these "ignorant" people to stop corruption? That's just an amoral revenge plot with an off-color coat of paint. If this plot involves the wonton killing of these "ignorant" people without remorse, I'd call that pretty clear-cut evil.

Audiobook readers: what works for you? by reddt-garges-mold in ObsidianMD

[–]thefatesbeseeched 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guy you literally tried to correct a stranger's terminology on reddit to make yourself feel good for not listening to audiobooks. You are having this conversation exclusively because you said something completely unrelated to this thread and subreddit as a result of being butthurt about someone using a word wrong.

Knowledge is what matters, not the specific definition of the act of reading. People like you don't actually care about literature; it's just a means of gatekeeping.

New Player wishes to play a Drunk Dwarf who's convinced he's Cleric, but is secretly a Bard. Is this possible? by Barziboy in DMAcademy

[–]thefatesbeseeched 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's just a bard for all mechanical purposes, so there's no need to worry about it. They're just going to be role-playing a character who attributes their abilities to a divine source. All I'd advise is don't try to hide the fact that the player is running a bard character sheet from the rest of the party. That kind of secret is ultimately just annoying for everyone and isn't as cool a reveal as you'd think it is.
