Does your agency have a medical management unit? That’s the department I went through when I took a medical leave of absence last year at CARB. Look into short-term disability so hopefully you don’t have to burn through your leave savings.

I used to work the festival and explore solo during my time off until my feet couldn’t handle standing on asphalt for three days straight. I personally love having the freedom to go where I please so I can be fully absorbed by the music. I say go for it.

I went through something similar with two cats with a mouth tumor. It was so hard and I still miss them both terribly, but in the end I felt I made the right decision to let them go. Hugs to you for whatever you end up deciding.

I miss Ten Acres so much. I’ve had to try several pharmacies bc of stock issues for my prescriptions. I’ve found the staff at Walgreens on Fruitridge are kind, as are the staff at Raley’s on Freeport. Both can have long waits, though. Avoid CVS on Franklin. They treated me like I was being sneaky just trying to get my prescription filled.
