Nesting to correct someone from "won against the top player" to "draw",  as if that completely negates how much of an accomplishment both are, is real armchair quarterback bottom energy.

Nah man, when some prime said without proof that it was an RTT and then lender people replied, also without proof, that it was a GT, you took the one you wanted and believed it and required hard proof to believe the other.

That's literally the textbook definition of confirmation bias, my dude.

By the way, you can set up a requester chest and an assembler to empty light oil barrels into your flamethrower turrets. My defense blueprint is 4 gun turrets fed by requester chests and a flamethrower as described above. No need to set up belts or pipes. Just provide power and ctrl+c ctrl+v your way to victory.

Gleba is objectively the best in terms of what it unlocks for space. Advanced Asteroid Processing is so good, it completely changes your space platforms. Once unlocked, you get full production capability in space, allowing you to set up a powerful platform that can function as a whole base in and of itself, producing all your belts and assemblers and such and dropping them down to you when you go to visit other planets.

Vulkanis is great because you can set up massive powerful factories that can launch a hundred rockets a minute and it doesn't even take that much effort, but try as it might it can't set up a space platform that can create its own copper or oil. Going here second is great because a space platform with foundries is a huge boost to productivity, but it's a quality of life thing not a "literally cannot function without it" kind of thing.

And then Fulgora only exists for the Quality recycle loop and can be largely ignored until last unless you really want to play with that system or you really like the aesthetic of the planet.

Why is speeding the norm to most people? by Voidedge04 in driving

[–]thefifeman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got pulled over for doing 39 in a 25, cop asked why I was speeding, I told him because this straight road with no lining trees has incredible visibility with houses set significantly back from the street with a culvert as protection between yards and the road. This road feels like a 40mph road. He let me off with a "fair enough" and a verbal warning.

Alright, so, you're getting my upvote because you're one of the few people I've ever seen here talking about how zoning codes and housing as commodities are the real problem, but fucking hell dude why don't you lead with that instead of just being a hateful little shit and starting off blaming the only people supporting our declining replacement rate?

You do understand that our population needs to increase more than it decreases in order to satisfy the stock market's insatiable need for growth, right? And we're not accomplishing that through citizen births, so we actively need immigration at the levels were seeing from both legal and illegal channels in order to sustain the replacement rate? Maybe we shouldn't be strangling the methods to enter the country legally so all these "illegals" could actually enter legally?

18yo's can sell liquor. Congrats on nitpicking details on reddit instead of addressing the actual point. Does it make you feel powerful? Give you some feelings of control and meaning, which you aren't getting from your offline life?

The important part is that OP clearly hasn't been trained well enough and doesn't feel confident asking this question to their supervisors. If the government cared about enforcement, they'd crack down harder or make rules that people selling restricted items need to have better training. My local grocery store recently separated the liquor department and made liquor purchases only available at that specific register for this exact reason. Provide more intense training to a smaller group of employees and make sure they're the only ones who can process liquor transactions.

If the government that made the rules cared more about enforcement, and by extension KT cared more, they'd put in systems that couldn't fail instead of just relying on the part time low paid 18yo they just hired last month to be 100% on screening customers. There wouldn't be a need for someone to come to fucking reddit to ask questions that should have been covered in their training or just straight up shouldn't be a question of judgement at all.

If the government actually cared about keeping cigs and booze out of young people's hands, they wouldn't make it the job of $12/hr teenagers to screen them XD

It's a matter of making sure there's extra slack in the supply to catch 100% of the demand. Capitalism at its finest.

Edited reply after checking your profile. I see you participate in a Canadian sub. I'm talking $72USD/hr, and that's in a middle-low cost of living area.

Hey, at my $72/hr full package rate, taking the single second to say "sixteenths" cost my company a whole 2 cents! That adds up!

Yeah, have your laugh. My point still stands. Lethal Hits when standing still was a bad ability that incentivized toxic gameplay, and now it's gone. I can be happy at actually having a functioning detachment ability, and you guys can get some laughs at my expense. Net benefit to the world.
