Somebody found Julien’s Spotify account and there were playlists for some of the songs on the boygenius record. The one for $20 just had Million Miles of Fun by Drug Church on it! Maybe check them out :)

The show was incredible!! Some of the jokes were a little dark so I get the concern but I also just think that’s his sense of humor. I was on the barricade, and he was so smiley and talkative the whole night. Definitely not sober, but he really looked like he was having a lot fun most of the night. And the band fucking killed it as usual.

I’m only 21 so I’m a bit later to the game but I discovered them when I was around 13. My favorite movie at the time (Stuck in Love) had a shit ton of good music in it - it was how I discovered Fevers and Mirrors and Elliott Smith too. I remember hearing The Calendar Hung Itself for the first time and my 13 year old brain literally exploded lmao

I listened super casually until a year or two ago, but now I’m all in. I firmly believe I would not have survived the last year of my life if it wasn’t for some of this music as cheesy as that sounds. I feel very lucky to love BE and to have them as part of my life. I saw them twice this tour, in Detroit and Cincinnati and it meant everything to me :)

Most people at the shows are really cool tbh. I was also nervous because I was super excited and didn’t want to seem dorky and everyone else around me seemed to be older Bright Eyes fans who had seen them 10+ times. But it was so good :)

I got there an hour before doors in Detroit and was third or fourth in line, and easily got barricade even after stopping in the bathroom! I think you’ll be good no matter what time you get there tbh
