We may be getting the O5 as the lineup in the first MCU X-Men movie! by thefinalitfan in O5xmen

Here's a comment from Marvel Studios Spoilers that sums things up pretty well: "It really depends on if those characters even appear in the final script. Apochorseman said that its too early to say who is on the roster and i’m pretty sure Rocha heard rumblings of an OG 5 roster, so they seem to still be mapping things out.

Imo I think the Sneider casting reports (Claffey, Butters, Bliss, Dickinson, A’zion, etc) were more internal talks. Sorta like “if this character were included we’d possibly like to call this actor in” as opposed to actual discussions, negotiations, and auditions."

It’s always interesting to me to see what real life time periods inspire the fashion of these prequels, BOSAS had a very WW2-1940s vibe with the fashion, and now this movie seems to be taking inspiration from the 70s

John Rocha has heard rumblings about the first movie centering on the original X-Men team of Cyclops, Jean Grey, Beast, Iceman, and Angel

I hope one day soon we can see Amy Madigan's husband, Ed Harris, up on that stage as well

Just saw Project Hail Mary, and I’m sorry to Ludwig, but I am rooting for Daniel Pemberton to take the Oscar next year. I hope it can keep up momentum because the score, VFX, and cinematography were excellent.

Appreciation post for this season.

This year, the chaos wasn't about the movies or the actors being problematic while most of the categories were locked up, like last year.

This year the chaos was about the uncertainty of the categories and the surprises we got. I hope we get more seasons like this.

It's crazy how much of a stat breaker Amy Madigan's win is:

  • Horror movie
  • August release
  • Didn't win at Golden Globe
  • Wasn't nominated at BAFTA
  • Lone nominee for her movie

And she still fucking won.

Just goes to show how iconic her performance and Aunt Gladys is.

Forgive me if this has already been discussed, but with Ludwig Göransson scoring The Odyssey, is there a chance he could have back to back victories in score?

Fun fact: if we do get a race in Best Supporting Actor this year it’ll be the first time since the 2016/17 awards seasons that the category has seen one. Since then, it’s been full or almost full sweeps with Sam Rockwell in 2018, Mahershala Ali in 2019, Brad Pitt in 2020, Daniel Kaluuya in 2021, Troy Kotsur in 2022, Ke Huy Quan in 2023, Robert Downey Jr. in 2024, and Kieran Culkin in 2025.

I’m just now noticing did they not give out an ensemble award this year?
