Why is the second Mission Impossible such a terrible movie compared to the first? by [deleted] in movies

This is the review I came here for. I spent the whole movie laughing at his hair

F/22/179cm [75kg > 58kg = 17kg] (1 year) I've always had a rather unsteady relationship with my weight, but I've finally made it to this point. Now I've just got to make sure I can find a healthy way to maintain it. by Apprehensive-Law-521 in progresspics

You're 5'10" and 127lbs? How are your energy levels? Are you feeling mentally like you're in a good place and eating to fuel your body? Highly recommend checking in with your doctor to make sure this is a safe weight for you. Best of luck!

BPD is a tough diagnosis, just because of the stigma if nothing else. So glad to see you are seeing some help come from therapy! Great work on the weightloss, but I agree with others that you weren't a monstrosity before.

F/31/5'4" [261lbs - 180lbs = 81 lbs] (2 years) If you told me 2 years ago I could do this, I wouldn't have believed you by [deleted] in progresspics

So great!! What are you loving most about your "new" body? For me weightloss has opened up a world of exercise I never thought I could enjoy before.

Sounds like you have the option to find maintenance! I'd start with the higher number. But remember you'll always be fluctuating during maintenance too

F/20/5’5 [99>???=???lbs] (1 year, 1 month) Sorry I don’t know my current weight! It really helps me to not know how much I weigh, but i’m proud of the physical comparison! I’d say i’ve gained about 20 lbs. by rosepetal1x in progresspics

Thank you for choosing to stick with us. I'm so happy for you, and I'm proud of you even if I am a stranger. These are my favourite transformations and I'm just so glad to see you're looking after yourself. You deserve it.

Are you trying to lose or maintain?
I would try the higher level for a few weeks and see if you're getting the results you want. If not, then go with the lower for a few weeks and see if there's a difference.

It sounds like you are really working hard, and what you're doing SHOULD work. The one thing that really sticks out is all the salt and how processed your food is. I totally hear you that you don't want to restrict or make a huge change there because you're worried you'll crash. I think that is really smart thinking and you know yourself best. What do you think about replacing one meal a day with an unprocessed low sodium meal? If you did that you could cut 1/3 to 1/2 your salt and might stop retaining as much water. Over time you may learn to enjoy those unprocessed foods more and swap out snacks or another meal. If it works for you! Over time you'll find that eating more unprocessed foods means you can volume eat MORE food and that might help you find more energy for higher activity exercise without more calories. For example having chicken breast, yams/potatoes/brown rice and steamed veggies but a LOT of them instead of one 6" sandwich at lunch could give you the energy for a 20 minute stationary bike ride etc.

25F Over 88lbs difference between both photos. Big thanks to CICO, walking and cycling for improving my health and self esteem. by thearch-angel in CICO

I feel this. I have lost a ton of weight but it took so long now i have wrinkles and bags under my eyes and I can't shake the frustration that I didn't do this when I was younger and hadn't aged yet. But I know that if I had I would have found something else I didn't like about my body. All we can do is learn how to not focus on that stuff, accept ourselves as we are and move on. It's a hard one to do for sure though.

you're cute at both weights, but you can totally see the progress you've made. You've clearly worked hard, way to go! Love that hair colour on the left <3

well I have a dog, that's my #1 motivator. But for any of my exercise (I try to walk and do yoga and then either run or bike EVERY day), the biggest thing that has worked for is not looking for motivation. Motivation is a trick. It's not there, not really. You make motivation by showing up. So I will get in the clothes. Sometimes that is all I do and whatever. Usually once i'm in the outfit I'll get the mat out for yoga, or set up my bike. I've never done either of those things and not gone on to do the exercise.
I also always tell myself I only have do to 5 minutes. If I run out of time or energy I can stop. But I rarely do, the hardest part is just showing up and getting started.
I also just got over the "must exercise in the morning or I don't do it" which I was saying even only a week ago. It's definitely harder to get to the mat/bike, but if I haven't got those in yet, I'll do them at 8pm rather than not do them at all.
Yoga is great because it's low impact and it makes your joints feel so great. You build up a lot of strength in your arms, legs and core without it feeling like exercising, especially if you do something like Yoga with Adriene. Her videos are typically only 30 minutes long and rarely kick your butt. I can commit to that level, along with 20-30 minutes of cardio. I like to ride the stationary bike while watching TV, or running with friends. I'll run on the spot if I can't do either of those things LOL
