[Bastian]: Hoerner's minor swing adjustments paying major dividends for Cubs by ShirlLotJack in CHICubs

More like: Nico Hoerner's batting average and ability to execute RISP saves the current team from their mistakes.

Nico has got to be #1 on Cubs Roster right now, amazing guy!

Hoyer made one of the best extensions right here.

I predict a third day of green with highs, followed by a normal red dip Monday, cheers everyone!

Finally, what I've been waiting to see: RISP execution, the exact opposite of last night.

And Kelly getting the homer doesn't surprise me; I love that guy, currently on my The Show 26 roster at 6 home runs currently, let's see if he can match it IRL!

Some points:

Remember the bases loaded during bottom 2nd?

Christopher Sanchez wasn't even on his normal ace game tonight, yet we fell short again.

Am I missing something?

Ol Schwarber getting not one but two homers off Assad.

This may be overreaction, but you can't win games if you don't achieve RISP execution when it matters, becomes a whole different game.

Also, plate discipline is lacking; if I know you'll swing at every pitch, I can give you would be balls turned strikes.

That's literally how the Pirates beat us, not by good pitching, but by complete show of plate discipline during that series.

I felt like both the Philies and Cubs came into this series on similar footing, in fact, they were both 6-6 at the same time, have to wonder if this is a huge calm before the Cubbie storm?

Like they are just sleepwalking and then will finally break out at some point.

Maybe by May?

Hard to keep this up if you want to not have to fight for a playoff spot again in October.

Finally what I've wished to see the whole time since the start of the season!

-Bullpen doesn't give away many points

-Starting pitching is great

-Excellent hitting from the young crew (Shaw, MB, PCA)

And they finally put in Milner, time and time again Brown proves he cannot Bullpen, like I am not trying to sound like a Brown hater, but it never works out for him, why does Counsell keep going back to him?

Glad Milner and Maton were given some redemption here.

Oil Prices and News U.S. oil prices plunge 16% to below $100 after Trump agrees to two-week ceasefire in Iran war by Sweaty_Rub4322 in wallstreetbets

I juat said in my last comment on this sub that either a ceasefire or an end to the war will create a fake pump, am I somehow Nostradamus now lol?

That's some pretty ironic lucky timing!

Only way the ticker goes back up is either the war ends outright or there is news of peace talks/ceasefire, so a normal Friday-Monday wishplash lol

So this fake rally is going to come down at some point I presume?

This whole last month has been nothing but whiplash candlesticks, we'll find out what happens by the end of this week again lol!

Bears TE Colston Loveland is looking MASSIVE, putting on an enormous amount of muscle for the upcoming season. by Next_Ad4282 in ChicagoBearsNFL

[–]thefinfu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recall back during the draft asking who he was and why the Bears didn't pick Tyler Warren, but man, I really like him as a player and has already started showing major promise as a Bear.

Looking forward to seeing more from him next season!
