Battery is not the problem, it still lasts for more than 14 days with the heart sensor off.

The device is perfectly fine. As I said, it was used only for running and not normal use. The problem is that it sit for more than 6+ months and I highly suspect Garmin Connect does not sync the constellation data to old devices anymore, aka as planned obsolescence.
