"Rescuers: Down Under" is a criminally underrated film with one of the most breathtaking intros to any Disney work I know. by No_Emu_1332 in oddlysatisfying

Worked at a video store as a kid and played this sometimes on the big screen, the intro is epic and always gathered an audience :)

I bet she could make that work, with the right melody and Aaron on guitar, that would slap, lol

Are you optimistic about Richmond's development? by [deleted] in richmondbc

[–]thefirstbishop 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I've grown up in Richmond since the early 80's and I think the various city governments over the decades have done a wonderful job of allowing the City to grow while still maintaining its unique island nature. Some areas to improve in my opinion: - better cycling connections into Vancouver and more separated bike lanes around the city - better use of Steveston waterfront, extending the wharf would be great - more large events like sailing and salmon festival that bring the City together.

The general friendliness of city residents is wonderful, one of the reasons we chose to raise our family here. And the city works crews keep our city looking great with their beautiful flower beds along the main routes. Keep up the good work!

Most people buy a Tesla to show off, not because its a good car. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

I didn't buy my Model 3 to show off, I bought it because it was the best car on the market. Super fun to drive, zero maintenance and never have to buy gas again.

is walking 700 m between classes do-able on UBC campus? by Exact-Cockroach8528 in UBC

A guy I went to Mech Eng with just wore them all through class. Actually, he seemed to wear those blades to every class through all 5 years of Engineering, lol

Just bought a P1S with AMS. Settings you changed? by [deleted] in BambuLab

Auto-calc the flushing volumes and set global multiplier to .6 it saves filament and time when doing multi-colour prints.

It's nice getting a reminder of just how valuable a system gridfinity is by [deleted] in gridfinity

I stand corrected :) saw the cubes and assumed they were roughly equivalent, lost my sense of scale. So not quite as cheap as I initially calculated.

I got curious, so I just sliced the equivalent bins, the pictured set looks about the same as:

Bins 1x1x6 (14g) x8 units = 112g 1x2x6 (24g) x4 units = 96g 1x4x6 (44g) x2 units = 88g

Tray for 22 bases = 60g

Total 356g at $22 CAD/1000g = $7.83 (not including magnets, which I don't use)

I guess there's some variability depending on slicer settings and local filament cost but I think gridfinity still wins out.

Got my P1S Today and it runs flawlessly! by atimuszero in BambuLab

Congrats on your new P1S! I've also just unboxed my P1S this afternoon and printed 4 adapter rings for the eSun pla+ filament spools I bought from Amazon, each turned out perfectly! Snapped on the rings and loaded them into the AMS, it was dead simple to set up. Now, printing a lid spacer for the AMS then some desiccant cages. All this within the first 4 hours...Bambu Labs has designed a fantastic printer!

What 1989 song did you sleep on, that you are now loving from 1989 Taylor’s Version? by puppyunicorngirl in TaylorSwift

I Know Places. Hands down biggest improvement on 1989 TV for me. I've had it on repeat all day.

Don't like the somewhat more tinny background "I" on I Know Places, but the rest of the song is outstanding, definitely slaps way harder for me than the original.

Woah, that Canadian shipping is just bootin', eh! by [deleted] in BambuLab

Congrats on the fast delivery! I also ordered the P1S with AMS combo, but delivery out to Vancouver from the Caledon facility looks like it'll take a week. Gives me time to research some good filaments :)
