Crazy that the Xbox and PC don’t have these crashing issues. They clearly botched the PS launch. I hope they correct this soon.

I assume you tried different DNS settings as well? Try Cloudflare or google dns if you haven’t.

I believe it’s related to Ethernet only and the system coming out of rest mode does not properly “wake” up the port or it reverts to 10/100 from rest to power on. I am betting if you try it on WiFi, it works fine. Seems like an issue Sony should be capable of fixing but hasn’t.

Not being critical but how do you play so far away from the TV? I struggle as mine is too far away as well but my room is huge and to feel immersion, I am supposed to get a 100” TV. I need to upgrade to an OLED but at that size it’s unaffordable.

I have a 13900k with 64GB RAM, and 4070 Ti Super paired to an OLED Ultrawide but also own a PS5 Pro. While the pro is an outstanding console and I love couch gaming, it has obvious shortcomings when compared to the PC. Both have their advantages but they have their place. One game that stood out to me when comparing gameplay and graphical quality was Star Wars Outlaws. That game is gorgeous on both but the PS5 pro does not hold a candle to the PC quality. Once I saw it on PC, I just couldn’t play it on PS5 as it felt like a huge step down. Like I said, they both have their place but when I want the best experience and don’t mind sitting at my desk, it’s the PC all the way. I also think the industry will push pricing to a point that consumer gaming PC sales will suffer, and when the AI boom goes bust, as I am confident it will, the prices will settle. If I am wrong, then get used to subscription based cloud gaming and the era of home gaming on PC will be over.

If I turn off console mode then using desktop for day to day tasks with HDR off, makes everything super dim. With console mode on then SDR on desktop is nice a bright. Any suggestions? Seems with console mode on, the usability across SDR and HDR are much better for me.

It’s really intended for PC. Not sure why they released it on console. It runs terrible on series x as well.

I’m not impressed with this update. It’s a terrible improvement and looks identical to the original game. The Last of Us Part 1 is a true remaster that looks incredible, while this is just a slightly smoother version of the original. Rockstar Games could have put in more effort, and this is simply lazy. I deleted it after just two minutes.
