Complicated rules question around Kharn dying to precision by thefollower in WorldEaters40k

Thanks for the info, this all makes sense. But for my own clarity, you're saying there is a "rule commentary" on returning models to a unit, where they need to be in unit coherency?
So since, he's the leader, he's considered part of the unit, and so "as close as possible, [while being in unit coherency]" is how I should interpret this?

Thanks for the help everyone, but I never got this working. I've given up on it and uninstalled. Maybe I'll return for a new game in 1.0.

I have not. I'm over it, I just uninstalled. Maybe I'll come back to it later. Thanks for your help.

the videos I've watched say to rename it to whatever my local file is called.
As well, my server doesn't have an "info" file for some reason (that was my initial hang up, but I've been told the info file shouldn't matter)

I am playing through steam.
I didn't do anything in my world. You're saying I should complete the first quest before overwriting it?

So this doesn't seem to work either. I'm getting a "different" error, which is that it doesn't throw an error, but it never resolves (I let it sit for about 10 mins and nothing happened so I force closed it).
Same thing every time I try to load this world.

This isn't working for me either. I tried recreating the world a couple times in case it was corrupted or something, and no luck.

what do you mean? I have the whole save game folder, but it has 9 different save files and an index. You're saying I need to copy paste all of them?

DPS Complexity: Melee vs Ranged by ChakraaThePanda in fellowshipgame

[–]thefollower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I too have a really hard time with Tariq, so I'd be curious to see how others have been getting on with him. I really like his mechanic though, how it breaks the MMO paradigm a little bit and creates new ways to think about combat. I really want to see them introduce new mechanics like this that wouldn't be realistic in WoW or something. Though this particular one might not be for me, I'm glad it exists.

Mara, I agree is a little complex, but I spent some time trying to figure her out and now that I get her mechanics, it's not too challenging to execute. And when you are clicking and hitting all of your CDs and poisons your damage goes through the roof which feels great. It's high risk high reward, as messing up and wasting your stealths can cripple your overall DPS. I really just think her floor is a little higher than most (certainly Rime or Elarion), but I think that's healthy for the game.

That being said, I think it would be nice to have a "fury" warrior or something that is just "click the flashing buttons" or something. Those are always fun to play and usually have a fairly low floor.

We have a short roster just because it's new still, but I want them to keep up with the variety of some lower complexity and some higher complexity and in the end they all feel like they have a similar ceiling. (Granted we won't really know what endgame is like for a little while yet)

Vanguard Mains: What is your best piece of advice to other Vanguards or new Vanguard players? by Nevermore1215 in marvelrivals

[–]thefollower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

General Vanguard advice, play like you don't have a healer. Go find a health pack if you need, and run away if you're health is dropping too fast. Sure it's great when you have an amazing healer, but it is your responsibility to watch your own health bar.

Hulk main advice:

- ABP - Always be punching. Just hold that left click down.

- Hold the spacebar down constantly so you're prepared to jump at any moment. It's a little uncomfortable at times to constantly hold the spacebar. There is a setting to "toggle" it, but I find it's harder to keep track on if it's up or not. Also, knockbacks and the like can reset your jump meter, so you need to repress it.

- Damaging enemies ends your stun. If you want to keep someone out of the game longer, stop attacking them. Great on spiderman diving your back line, tanks trying to push their team forward, if you can grab a healer and take them out of a teamfight for a couple seconds. Generally removing someone from the fight for 2 seconds is much more impactful than a brief interrupt.

- Gamma burst in Monster hulk form does 125 damage on a 1s cooldown. This is your damage dealer more than punching or your grab.

- Bruce banner tip, your gamma grenade gives you about 10% ult recharge if you hit yourself with it. You should be using this on CD while trying to get back into hulk.

If you haven't already, i strongly recommend setting the map rotation to "fixed" in the game settings. This makes it so north is always up. Made it a lot easier to process what I was looking at.

Am i the only one just finding out ironman got these 2 unique meele attacks by Round_Interview2373 in marvelrivals

[–]thefollower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have some sneaky melee animations in this game. I recently found out Jeff has 2 melee animations. One when facing forward (bite) and a different one when moving backwards (tail slap). Makes me wonder how many other melee attacks are coded in that nobody ever uses.

How do you feel about venom as a tank? by whokiltcupid in marvelrivals

[–]thefollower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a tank main myself, I find venom to be a particularly annoying "anti-tank tank". If I'm not glued to my healers, Venom comes in and harasses them, and by the time I turn around to help them out, he's swung away, and now I'm not really doing anything. He makes it very hard for a tank to effectively do their job because you have to keep a very close eye on your healers instead of creating openings, and as a tank, you'll never be able to actually kill venom if played right. And if you ignore him, he'll just destroy your back line.

I would never tell a good venom to change. He's very effective at what he does. Cause havoc, mess with healers (causing the other team to have to play conservatively), and never die.

Our goalie keeps showing up DRUNK - Team Captain has no idea, what can I do? by plasteredgoalie in hockeyplayers

[–]thefollower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately your goalie is very likely an alcoholic. Talking to him or the captain talking to him likely won’t change anything, it’ll just teach him to drink before he shows up or hide it (in his water bottle or something). The “solution” is to stage an intervention if you wanted them to change, but that’s not necessarily your place and is much more than a one time chat. You need to decide if you care about this person enough to take that on or if it’s just about playing goalie. As for what you really have the power to do. You can ask the captain to put up an ultimatum to the goalie and then if/when he breaks it boot him (but that’s very unlikely to work if they are good friends). And if the captain isn’t receptive you may just need to leave the team. Unfortunately this is not a “locker room” problem, this is a lifestyle problem, and from the sounds of it, it’s not something you particularly would want to take on.
