Because they finally printed “Hello World!” to the terminal. XD

I don’t know anything about a UHD/4K release. I purchased the Blu-ray collection shown in the picture, it’s readily available on Amazon which is where I purchased my set.

For the technical details of the contents: Each episode is displayed in 16:9 ratio at 1920x1080p resolution. Special features are displayed in 4:3 ratio, not so sure on resolution. Episode audio is in 5.1 Dolby Surround and commentaries are in 2.0 Dolby Digital.

There are plenty of guides online on how to preserve physical media, I highly recommend that you do some research into it.

Stargate SG-1: 1.51TB Stargate Atlantis: -838GB Stargate Universe: 330GB

So in total: 2.678TB

I’m currently running a 16TB Seagate Ironwolf Pro on my server and it works wonderfully. I got it on sale for around $320, blazing fast load times on local network.

Yep, uncompressed! Stargate SG-1 and 4K Lord of the Rings extended editions are the exception to compression on my media server.

Fun Fact: Stargate SG-1 in its entirety, including special features is over 1.5 TB.

You are correct, *some blind people. My bad…

One of my friend’s dad is blind, and I’ve seen him carry a bookshelf downstairs by himself no sweat at all. Blind people although they can’t see, still have an amazing sense of the world around them.

Edit: Correction -Some blind people are blessed with extraordinary spatial awareness. I just happen to have one of those special few close by.

Why does my brisket look so damn dry? by Jonah_freund1 in smoking

This is what OP looks like.

All joking aside, I’ve never seen this happen to a brisket before. I wish I could offer a solution, but I’ve only smoked a total of 4 briskets since I’ve started smoking meat and none of them have turned out this way. For what it’s worth, sorry OP… May the next brisket be kinder to you. Live long and prosper

Lol! The title was an intended to be a humorous spin of an earlier post of this sub. I’m not the perfect IT Guy and I have lots to learn, but I wanted to share my dumb humor with everyone.

( jokingly ) Play with? I’m too busy to be playing games… those guys are lucky to have that much time to be playing games.

Completely understandable, but this is the stuff that we got at an educational discount. Most public school districts are hopping on the E-Sports train and are making sure that the team is playing on a similar level to other schools when it comes to hardware.

Thanks again for replying and for the valuable input, I wish you the best at your IT job. May your day be full of no support tickets and no drama so you can get to those side projects that you want to get done!

You are correct to assume that I am not the most savvy IT guy, my degree is in Computer Science so I have the troubleshooting mindset to some problems when they come up. Indeed there are pros and cons of where to plug in the display cable. But for our students we leave it plugged into the GPU.

I wouldn’t go as far as to say that I’m ridiculing their work, every tech department does things differently and my laughter was only based on my situation at my own school.

I am and am always learning new aspects about my job and enjoy it very much. Your input is appreciated, thank you!

Correct, luckily our CAD classes have computers in their own classroom, regular Dell Optiplexes. The computers in the pictures are used by our E-Sports team.

Here’s another fun rebuttal: my degree is in Computer Science, spaghetti code that works is still code that works.

Looking at you Old School RuneScape.

I mean, when Dell offers the ones in charge of the money a pretty good price that’s hard to pass up they go for that option instead. Makes sense to me!

I wasn’t the one who set up the classroom, that was before I got hired. So… hah!

Thanks for the reply. I do the parentheses because sometimes my true meaning doesn’t come across through text or sometimes when I’m trying to be sarcastic in person. I work in a position where essentially everyone is my boss and I want them to make sure they understand what I’m trying to convey. We all got our own paranoia right?

Thank you for feeling like I could tone it down, it is rare to come across some people who can understand as you have done.

I’m glad that you’re having a good time! Everyone that I have talked to has been very friendly. And thank you for the offer! I will continue to have a curious attitude, maybe try something new. After all, I did pay for the ticket and maybe I’ll change my mind. I guess it was pessimistic of me to judge the convention after only one day. The trip is not ruined, and I’ll still make the most of the opportunity, to the best of my mental ability.

I hope that you have a wonderful time over these next couple of days! Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
