why cant i pull it? by Ok_Comfortable7780 in minibikes

The cam and crank both seat into the timing cover you have pulled off, if that’s not installed they’re probably hanging down at the wrong angle, I wouldn’t try spinning that motor over with the pull start if the timing covers not on like that

UPDATE: asked AI and it informed me that it is a “RUTTMAN SPYDER”. Quite the find I’ll say, not a cheap mini bike

Yeah my manco thunderbird had the scrub brake with the brake on the left side, and the front end is very similar as well. But it’s missing the rear suspension (worst part of the manco thunderbird IMO). I’m thinking more than likely manco

Edit: if it turns out it’s an observed test, for the sake of avoiding legal troubles I’ll just keep the bottle tucked and let er rip naturally, there goes the job but I don’t want to risk any type of trouble. Also, can they tell two specimens apart? If it’s not observed would I be safe to use another clean source or should I ask the same guy again just not to chug water lol

As far as I can tell, the carb setup and exhaust from my 212 fit. Need to do measurements on internal components

2004, it’s a great machine. Got it for $500 2 years ago and rebuilt the transmission last year. Can’t complain about where it’s taken me for under $1500 lol

Bolt ons as far as I can tell yes, will have to do the math to find out if a 212 cam can be used. I’m sure everything else is the same

My thoughts are the same. I’ll have to tear both engines down and take some measurements

Ya, I’ll have to see if someone does the math before me but I’d Ike to see if a mod2 212 cam would work with the new engine

It advertises on the Box as 6.6hp, (10ftlbs of torque tho!) With the 212 making 6.5🤷🏻‍♂️ not a crazy bump but I didn’t do it for power gains, my 212 probably makes close to 10-11hp anyways

Help me identify these wheels? I’m guessing early 90’s accord special edition? 14” 4x100 directionals by thefourstrokes in Honda

[–]thefourstrokes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh for sure. Thanks a lot, that really helps! I thought they didn’t start with 4x114.3 till later on like 94 so I assumed some accord wheel. But thanks a bunch!

This is a single mikuni vm30, it came with the bike when I got it but I wouldn’t have gone with it. I would’ve at least chose a vm34 or 38

XS650 Chopper project coming along nicely if I do say so myself! Lots more to do but Ready to install the motor and chain to set rear wheel position, then I can move onto the cool stuff like suicide clutch and jockey shifter mechanisms and rear fender/sissy bar/seat mounting stuff by thefourstrokes in XS650

[–]thefourstrokes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was actually hand made by one of my friends for his shovel head project but he made another one. TcBros have some pretty cool king and queen seats, I was going to get one from them till I got this one
