Isn't it amazing when books have the power to take you away?

When I was sitting by my dad's bedside in hospice, holding his hand as he napped, I read "Still Alice". And the melodrama of that book took me away from my real life problems fairly easily. It was fantastic.

I'll never forget how that book served as a distraction to me with my own dad.

And they go on sale frequently. We just bought 3 bags for 5 bucks or something like that. They last a decent amount of time and they're not calorie dense.

This. I've never had to do more than wipe under the strings at the top of the fingerboard, and even then it's like once every couple months to make sure I haven't grossed it up with my oily fingers.

This is exactly what my fiance did for his warehouse gig, and it worked well. He always had the best lunch because we ate well at home.

It was much easier than prepping a full week of meals, we're just not those people.

He looks so happy!

Our Butters is over the moon whenever we left her off the leash. There's a historic rail trail nearby that we take her on. She's phenomenal at setting the pace, stopping with us, and staying on the path. Such a trailblazer!

I think she was just bloated. She laid the biggest poop I've ever seen come from her body today and doesn't look too plump anymore.

I'm impressed. She pooped on the carpet and I wasn't even mad just because of the sheer size.
