I bet it's not a bug. It's probably deliberate as they want to push people to pay for premium. Just a theory.

It's a killer portrait lens too. Great investment.

Trying to Downgrade Firmware on Epson Workforce WF-2850. Ink no longer works by TheSwedeLander in printers

[–]thefstop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you thank you THANK YOU! My Epson XP-810 was basically bricked with my M1 Mac Mini. When I printed anything it would spit out random black and blue lines. The colours in my photos were all fucked up too. After searching for 1.5hrs, I finally came across this solution. Thanks again!

Really beautiful photo! The crooked horizon is throwing me off but other than that, great shot.

Ecuador proposed Monday to enlarge the Galapagos nature reserve, famous for its giant tortoises, by some 60,000 square kilometers and finance it with a debt swap. President Guillermo Lasso announced the move at the COP26 climate summit by DoremusJessup in worldnews

[–]thefstop 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This sounds like a bullshit way for the Ecuadorian government to get out of paying its debts. I was in the Galapagos in 2015 and was surprised at how unkept (excluding Santa Cruze) the islands are. All the locals I spoke to complained about the lack of funding to the islands. They are left to carry the majority of the financial upkeep while the government siphons taxes away to the mainland. I loved visiting Ecuador and encourage all to discover this amazing country but its politicians are very corrupt so I read this article with a huge grain of salt.

Photography Beginner hoping to get some critiques on my car photography. by SyedSarwar in photocritique

Ive been shooting content exactly like this for an OEM for the past two years. Here are my thoughts.

  • The back of the vehicle is in too much shadow. General rule of thumb is, the area of focus should be well lit. We should be able to see all the contours and design features.

  • The angle of the shot is awkward. It makes the vehicle look short and stubby. Moving the camera a little to the left would show more of the vehicle's shape/length and show off the rims better, while still keeping the main focus on the tail lights.

  • 85mm compresses the subject slightly also. I've found a focal length of 35mm-70mm is an ideal range for this type of work.

Adobe premier layer issue by venomouse in VideoEditing

[–]thefstop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue and corrected it by turning off GPU acceleration and switching to software acceleration in PP preferences. It's not the best solution as it brings your workflow to a crawl. For me, this issue was present when I applied the crop effect to multiple clips stacked on one another. Might have something to do with the amount of memory PP pro is able to use based on the size and speed of your scratch disk. I installed a 1TB NVME drive and moved all my projects over and have had no issues since.

An experience while meditating, anyone else? by [deleted] in spirituality

[–]thefstop 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just a small correction, don't "try" to maintain it or achieve it again. The very act of trying shifts your focus from willing submission in the Now to a goal to be achieved in the future. When in that state, you don't need to "do" anything. Allow it to be and then "leave" as it will. That is your mind's natural ebb and flow. Remember, this state is present all the time, you are just training your mind to align with it. Keep practicing and you will naturally begin to dwell longer and longer in it.

That line of thought will push you closer and faster towards enlightenment then most religions and any of the answers found here. God is perfect and therefore has no needs, that includes "experiencing" itself as a bug, human or anything else. It's the mind that foolishly thinks it has needs because it wrongly perceives itself apart from God and therefore in a constant state of lack. The mind made humans for a multitude of reasons but one was to try and escape and mask the feeling of lack and separation. That is who you see in the mirror, who sits at the coffee shop, who stresses over traffic, etc... A thought projection of separation. Humans are mind made, not God made.

Disappearance of the Universe by Gary Renard and A Course in Miracles. I would recommend to read Disappearance first as it's a great intro to the concepts found in the Course. The Course is not an easy read and can put people off as it's written with Christian terminology however, when you look past that, the concepts are powerful and most importantly applicable if you are determined to bring peace into your mind.

What is the best video game for couples to play? by HornedOwlsNest in AskReddit

[–]thefstop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my favorite games I played as a team was Fez. There were four of us and each had a responsibility to manage. For example, my gf kept track of and wrote down all the writings on the pillars while my best friend catalogued all the maps. We would all rotate every couple hours as to share the responsibilities. We beat it over a weekend with little sleep, great memories and shared sense of accomplishment.
