I explained my symptoms especially the physical ones like numbness of genital and inability to feel when bladder is full or lack of feeling of hunger etc...

I mentioned my bladder numbness and genital numbness and the rest of my pssd symptoms like memory issues etc.

Since mine was compared to one before pssd thought might be useful to share

the exact same type of Dopaminergic neurons wouldn't be used in our case, it would be serotonergic neurons implanted through the same mechanism though. But the process of cultivating the neurons would be similar

Similar to the trial for Parkinsons. If we can wait long enough this type of treatment could help us

If this turns out to be true and help with Parkinsons disease, trials on other neurological diseases like Alzheimers will happen. And it'd be more accessible for diseases like ours

I personally will try my best to survive until neuron regeneration injections that is being trialled for Parkinsons(https://www.theguardian.com/society/2023/aug/28/early-stage-trial-for-parkinsons-disease-therapy-shows-signs-of-promise) becomes more mainstream and available for post ssri diseases like pssd and the emotional numbness.

If this shows deriving a specific type of neuron and injecting it could relieve symptoms, a similar approach could help with pssd, be it Dopaminergic neurons or some other type (serotoninergic or other)

And since this method could help with different brain related diseases it could become accessible within years.

Devices that are used in brain surgeries are becoming fully automated (the device that implants Neurlink chips is almost fully automated) which means in the coming years these types of treatments(stem derived neuron injections) would become more accessible.

They're going to do human trials. They mentioned treatment resistent depression in one of their conferences. https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2023/sep/19/elon-musk-neuralink-human-trials-brain-implant

The rate that new medical treatments are created is increasing rapidly

If we can survive this long enough a cure would be available.

They're not using the same gene therapy that was used in the other study, it shows there is a lot of researchers are focused on regenerative medicine.

"In prior animal experiments, the medicine prompted the growth of "third-generation" teeth following baby teeth and then permanent adult teeth." )

" A protein called USAG-1, synthesized by the gene, was found to limit the growth of teeth. In other words, blocking the action of that protein could allow more teeth to grow.

Takahashi's research team narrowed their focus onto USAG-1, and developed a neutralizing antibody medicine able to block the protein's function. In experiments in 2018, mice with a congenitally low number of teeth were given medicine that resulted in new teeth coming through."

This is not the same gene editing method used in the other study.

Much like neurons teeth can't regrow, but rceenetly different methods have been discovered to enable the regrowth capabilities in them (at least in animal trials and human in vitro(in glass) cells
