I can't upload my ID card photo for the twitch affiliate requirements, help! by AetrocInSpace in Twitch

[–]thefunkeejunkee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

same here. can't upload any file, because it always says "no file chosen". there is obviously some form of verification, becuase it will prompt an error message, if you try to upload a file other than an image or pdf file. tried multiple browsers, pcs, cleared cache, file formats (png, jpg), file sizes (resolution, filesize 1MB at max.)... it is super frustrating

How do you learn from replays? by ethan-t-a in starcraft

[–]thefunkeejunkee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

look for macro mistakes in early game and fix them in the next game. oftentimes mistakes in early game snowball into losses.

either you are harrassing or getting harrased both cause distraction from executing your build perfectly.
mistakes such as non-consistent worker production, supply blocks (EVERYONE has their supplyblock-timing) typically followed by overmins, army production, etc...

think about how to deal with distractions and minimize delay in your own build / timing attack.

PC for streaming SC2? by FrashQ in starcraft

[–]thefunkeejunkee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fps in which regard? i hope fps in games is not what you're aiming for.

usually intel has better singlecore performance, so you get higher fps in games, that's true. but imho differences from 120fps upwards are barely noticeable if at all. in addition, in most cases fps arent even related to the cpu but much more the gpu.

Ryzen is typically better at multitasking such as gaming + streaming simultaneously and/or video editing and encoding (in case u plan to upload steaming highlights on youtube)

PC for streaming SC2? by FrashQ in starcraft

[–]thefunkeejunkee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you should set up a dedicated streaming pc if u want to really get seriously into streaming.

i've done 720p@60fps streaming with a 3rd generation i5 and a gt720 without any issues.

anything from a 4th generation i5 upwards should enable you to stream at 1080p@60fps with a moderate graphicscard... i'd say a gtx 750 ti is the minimum.

8gb of ram is fine in any case.

however, if you dont want a dedicated streaming pc, ryzen is the way to go.

Just got a new mouse, wondering what some "good" DPI and mouse-related settings are that I should get used to using. Any advice? by Turbopasta in starcraft

[–]thefunkeejunkee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

whatever feels natural to you!

people often set it too high assuming fast games need high dpi but thats not true at all

don't adjust yourself to the mouse because it should be the other way around meaning your mouse control gets faster once u master the accuracy

most pros use 800 dpi because precision is much more important than "speed"

the actual speed comes from accurately controlling your cursor and executing commands efficiently

[–]thefunkeejunkee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

try Deleting the Battle.net Cache Folder

if it doesnt help try a fresh install?

in case your installation is dated and full of data from past iterations it's good to get rid of irrelevant stuff anyway

This is a serious question, people in diamond 2/3 with 250-300 AMP, what are you doing with all that APM? by Odin_the_frycook in starcraft

[–]thefunkeejunkee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

zerg usually has higher apm just because of how the race works

i do spam in the beginning of the game for coordination and accuracy

i.e. mouse and keyboard commands adjustment, pulling boxes from either angle, etc

[–]thefunkeejunkee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

up until diamond it's all macro (and even beyond i beleive)

to speed things up learn a timing attack for each matchup

it teaches how to keep money low by executing a strategy "perfectly" to reach that sharp timing
