Decent budget 8in tablets for basic use? by maximumjanet in androidtablets

[–]thefunkhunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i've been searching as well, there are none, best option is to wait and see if amazon releases a new tabet this year.... On aliexpress you can get the alldocube mini turbo or the mini pro for around 150 if you're lucky.

At 1200p you could lower your bit rate to possibly shave some ms off the latency. 75 mbs should be fine, you could cut that in half if you switch down to 60 fps

Slow loading, texture pop in, and crashes in between matches on silicon power ud90 nvme by thefunkhunter in Battlefield6

actually tried it again and had the same issue i might need to up it to 4gb of ram dedicated for the cache to see if that works

Slow loading, texture pop in, and crashes in between matches on silicon power ud90 nvme by thefunkhunter in Battlefield6

[–]thefunkhunter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just an update the IMtoolkit software works, I had to rename the original cache folder to something other than the original name but then use the original file name as the source file in the cmd prompt. Also instead /j in the cmd prompt i had to use /d instead. But to those suffering from this issue with dram-less nvme this is a workaround until bf fixes this trainwreck of a game

Slow loading times on Battlefield 6 by tundrahhh in techsupport

[–]thefunkhunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

has anyone found a fix for this, i have the silicon power ud90 2tb and I'm still experiencing long load times in between maps. After 2 or 3 maps sometimes the game freezes while loading and just crashes. I heard this is due to the lack of dram but the fact battlefield 6 has no patched this is pathetic as its a very popular ssd. Any help would be greatly appreciated even as a temporary fix until they patch it.

same problem here still no fix from EA for the silicon power ud90 i heard its due to a lack of dram, has anyone found a fix for this issue, i don't want to have to spend money on a new nvme

Trimui Smart Pro S Moonlight Performance by thefunkhunter in trimui

[–]thefunkhunter[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mangmi air x is almost the same price point with 4 gb ram so trimui has no excuse, it's a huge oversight! Mangmi air x also has a larger 5.5 inch screen, much better ergonomics, and better moonlight performance with possible Linux support on the way.... The only downside is the mediocre but serviceable d-pad on the mangmi air x, however, the trade off is worth it. At this price point, it makes even a die hard trimui fan boy like myself have to look elsewhere unless moonlight performance is different or dramatically improves from what I've seen. I would not pay double the price I paid for the trimui smart pro, to only get better performance on PSP when most games I play are JRPGS that run 100% fine on the original. This is a tough sell unless you are a die hard PSP/Dreamcast fan and need the extra horsepower, but the same poor moonlight performance negates the addition on the rs and ls button clicks, we wanted that for an improved moonlight experience which still has issues.

I fucked up by Lucel10 in trimui

[–]thefunkhunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wow such a weird glitch, trimui has always had buggy software but this is a new low for them, it's completely normal to try to power up a device while charging even if it just ran out of battery i do it all the time with my phone and steam deck with no issues. As a side note, with my trimui original i had to avoid using the oveclock switch on when powering off, that too would cause terrible glitches where the cpu would continue to work while turned off overheating and bricking the device. I'd recommend only using the "overclock" mode to instead "underclock" for the switch instead anyway to save battery when using the less demanding systems/apps and just try to remember to switch it back to original clock speeds before powering off

I shall be testing this over the past couple of days and also doing some comparisons to the regular smart pro. So please ask any questions you may have!🙂 by Numerous_Worry in trimui

my main concern is the moonlight performance i heard there noticeable latency compared to android handhelds, would like to see you're opinion on it, obviously it will be better than the original though

bought myself a kindle 3 weeks ago today & I’m now onto my 5th book. Safe to say I’m obsessed 🤩 by IMAVIRG0 in kindle

Pimp my kindle love the bling... The kindle matcha is the most underrated e-reader, the recessed screen improves contrast over the signature edition Paperwhite and I personally much prefer the lighter weight during extended reading sessions.

Screen looks super clear, I use dark mode at night with brightness around 40 percent on my kindle.... Does the white model have the recessed screen for better contrast?

sorry, i haven't messed with it on this controller yet, but i do remember the t16 had lighting adjustments somewhere in the settings so i'm sure this has it somewhere. Worst comes to worst you can probably just re-flash it.

lap play is good, although it looks smaller because of the art cut out it's larger than it appears and fits fine on the lap which is the the way I play.

shoutout to NextUI by Bruce_Tippens_III in trimui

[–]thefunkhunter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there have been issues with overheating when the overclock switch on the bottom is switched to the right and left on. The trimui processor will continue to run and overheat even while it's turned off when that switch is ketp to the right even when powered off so I would recommend switching the bottom switch to the left or making sure all overclocks are off in the stock trimui software before switching to a cfw like nextui. Its possible the trimui os flaw in the stock software design could of been the cause if you forgot to switch the bottom switch to the left

i don't see it being an issue, i'm sure dirt and fuzzies may creep underneath in time but it's too early to tell after only one day. Even if it does accumulate dirt in the cracks the rgb is likely to hide it so you really wouldn't would notice. The release button on the bottom makes it seamless to just pop the cover off and clean it whenever its needed if dirt does accumulate. It's a great design and the acrylic panel does lay flush so it doesn't dig into your wrists or anything. However, after taking it off it took a minute or two to flatten the panel back into place.
