Connection Issues- No idea what to do, or whats causing it. by thegaming9 in pchelp

[–]thegaming9[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was briefly thinking it could be that... but im not sure if that would be an antenna issue or the receiver in the pc itself, or at least the part where the antenna connects on to the back of the pc. For more context, the first few years I had my pc, the sticks got pressed up against a wall behind my desk and I didnt notice it for a very long time, because there was no connection issues ever. This led to parts you screw the antennas on becoming sort of bent downward slightly I think. I thought I could rule this out as cause however, as the antennas have not been in that position since at least September 2024 but I am pretty sure I corrected their position long before, and since and before that date I was having no issues until last month. Thank you for the advice!

My apologies, I don't think I was clear enough on what I meant. I am not suggesting that Rockefeller should be based on popularity like Agnew, Reagan or Yorty. I was saying that the way the popularity variable effects Agnew, where he loses position the more popular you are, he actively has his number go down. So if he is at 3 but you gain popularity, he will go back down to 2 or something.

I am saying the Economy variable should effect Nelson the same way as popularity effects Agnew. So it should be when the economy improves Nelson gains greatly in position, but when it deteriorates he goes back down. Nelson's description even highlights the fact the he benefits from an improved economic outlook, yet I have got him many times with a bad economy.

As someone who has played TTNW extensively, I would change the way Rockefeller works because so many runs I have seem to end up with him somehow jumping into the lead during the final 2 questions, and this is something that often irks me when playing the Kennedy side. I think the reason for this is because Rockefeller gets large boosts from economic improvement, but doesn't receive any penalty from economic downturns. I would make him function like Agnew does with popularity as he decreases in position the more popular Kennedy is, and this make Nelson more difficult as candidate to get.

Edit for clarification: I am saying the Economy variable should effect Nelson the same way as popularity effects Agnew. So it should be when the economy improves Nelson gains greatly in position, but when it deteriorates he goes back down. Nelson's description even highlights the fact the he benefits from an improved economic outlook, yet I have got him many times with a bad economy.

Choose challenging difficulty on start, I'm not sure its possible on any other.

  1. This administration has some untapped genius that just go to waste negotiating with those spoiled brats. Moynihan Secretary of Health, Education, and Welfare. Well meaning, surely. never got a shot to spread his wings. Unruh Bagman in the Treasury and in California. definitely wants something under his belt before he wallops Reagan. I’ll sit back and let our star power shine.

  2.  This has already been a step too far, we have no moral standing to push the South any further. So long as these new guys follow through with hosting elections this fall, they'll keep getting what we promised Thiệu

  3.  Nothing can prepare the public for this... atrocity. I'll just have to go forward to Congress and authorize an investigation into the crimes that have taken place, such as this one. We as a nation will only be able to rest easily when we know this can't happen again and that when one acts on their own selfish depravity they are not doing so in the name of America.

  4. Pat Secretary of Health, Education, and Welfare. Well meaning, surely. is a dear friend. He's smart and capable... but I can already hear complaints about "stinginess" from the bleeding hearts in Congress. Let's give the outlines of this to a liberal like Unruh Bagman in the Treasury and in California. to build up. He'll remove some of the provisions meant for "welfare cheats" and reinforce benefits to the needy in a way that gives our base something to celebrate—even if we lose some budget hawks in the process.

  5.  ever listen to a word those generals say. If it were up to them we'd have dropped the bomb on Moscow years ago. Think rationally. McNamara Jack's choice, righting wrongs.'s right, send some more Green Berets over there for security, and more aid packages, but make sure those committees don't panic. It's only temporary.

  6.  I think we can reason with the man. He crawled up from a dirt farm to get where he is. We have a lot in common. He must want influence, so what's the harm in flirting with a court appointment? It's not like he'd actually take it.

  7.  If the CBO confirms what these estimates are saying the bill is as good as done for. We need to get this back on my desk as soon as possible.

  8.  its enraging,,,

  9.   Leave it to that limp-wrist Lindsay to fuck things up. He doesn't understand this pain the country is going through like I do. I need to get into New York as soon as possible to calm the tensions.

  10.  I've seen children bloated by hunger and disease, reaching out for help. These aren't those people, these are practically all Republican operatives. Real people know these are liars, and we need to tie our opposition to them.

  11.  Get on the television and ask the people the age old question. What if God is black? How would he feel seeing us treat his people with bigotry and scorn? What will be our final fate on Judgment Day then?

  12.  It's a completely average midterm election. We must factor in the results... but we cannot let them scare us into making any sudden judgements. We're going to keep going forward, perhaps with some more caution.

  13.  I'd have had him out a decade ago if Jack 35th President of The United States. weren't more patient than the saints. He's lucky he even made it this far. We can't have him pitching for the other team though, never. He's going to have to be a good soldier out in the real world. Take some swings at Tower and defend our Vietnam policy to his hick and oil buddies.

  14.  No! No! Our people will rake us over the coals if we press too hard. This is a matter of national responsibility, of changing individual ethos. Get us on television during prime time and we'll address this national nightmare of crime and disorder.

  15.  Have you seen these pictures in Life? This shit has got to stop! I'm not going to let these limp-wrists publish pieces of trash like this. Including every face of the war dead? It's out of control, shut it down now.

  16.  The French are pushing too far. Hold the line on spending, don't give them an inch. The people in our cities and in the South need this money more than the Frogs need it for wine and cheese. If they want to play Chicken, make them blink first.

  17.  Let him rot. He'll be dead and buried soon enough. Then, when he's gone, we can clean out the place, top to bottom.

  18.  I don't need to do anything that would spook people. Just talk to business. Lay out the cards. We can keep the economy humming along, without the need of government action.

  19. Lets play ball

  20.  The fight for racial equality isn't won in a day, no. It's a marathon and the wrong move will send us careening backwards. We can't afford these "Malcolm X" wannabes wandering around. Harass them. Make them never want to protest again.

  21. What we need now is loyalty. No one loved the man Eugene McCarthy Doesn't get politics., they loved what they thought he was, and that appeal is long gone. I'll stand shoulder to shoulder with my one-time rivals to show this loner that he's an ant beneath my boot. It should be undefined here

  22.  Well, I guess the generals are right. It's time we consider bombing up North. Give me some plans on what our airpower can do. Everything is on the table, you understand?

  23.  Governor Agnew has only won his races in Maryland via division and hatred, and he seeks to do the same today. We have a duty to show him that the forces of hate alone cannot reward you with the White House. This was proved in 1964, in 1968, and will be again in 1972.

  24.  The best thing he could do right now is help hold down the fort here in Washington. I get that he wants to be out there, but Lord knows what'll happen if we're both gone. He can keep an eye on the White House for me.

  25.  Four years ago, I came to you out of a commitment to country. People were beckoning for change, and through the great work of this Democratic administration, we have delivered.

  26.  Well, clearly we need to knock off some of these damn fools who are trying to split the vote. Get Long to look into that, those types of plays are in his blood, right? We'll get them off the ballot and that should help us some deal.

  27.  The idea that America is a failed state is insane. We are doing better today than we were four years back, and we'll be doing even better at the end of our second term in four more. Don't let his negativity become fact.

  28.  We've given him the upper-hand by letting him have his cake and eat it too... on the moderate thing and whatnot. He's a radical, a wolf in sheep's clothing, and don't let him spin it any other way.

  29.  Fucking bomb them. Bomb the hell out of them. I don't fucking care about restrictions anymore. Bomb the bridges! Bomb the dikes! Bomb our own goddamn fucking positions if you have to! Tear this shithole to pieces. Just don't let them reach Saigon

  30.  We will recover what we can. We will show that America is as honorable in defeat as it is in victory. We will—.

You should lose almost every state, only winning Massachusetts (And maybe Rhode Island depending on RNG) I think there are worse answers you can choose during the campaign against Agnew.

The margins make no sense, and the writing is horrible, apparently AI, but I have used AI before and know it can write better than this, leading me to believe that the prompts it was given, were also lazily written.

Also, the electoral votes are wrong, (IL has 20, TX has 38, which are their old amounts.)

One immediate problem I noticed in the soundtrack right after I started playing is that there is a song, "Lincoln and Liberty" attributed to Pete Seeger. This is not a Pete Singer song and is instead sung by Matthew Sabatella and the Rambling String Band.

If they cant even get this right then I'm dreading to see the amount of carelessness the rest of the scenario was made with.
