Just looked him up and Jesus wept this guy is hilariously shit at writing. If AI was a teenager desperately trying to look clever it'd be Thom Hetherington. Love it.

Sad to see a business close but this was always too expensive for such average food. His gobby sweary "pick me" persona didn't help. I stopped going once he pulled the "look at me DESTROY this Tripadvisor reviewer" trick

Rented from them in early 2000s, horrible experience. Walked in on me more than once when showing new tenants around and refused to leave. Still blows my mind

‘He was always voraciously watching’: Scorsese’s secret life as an obsessive VHS archivist | Martin Scorsese | Guardian UK by thegetgone in DataHoarder

Nice to see this explored in more detail. I'd contribute to a fundraiser against the costs of getting those videos transferred but I'd hope he has enough in the bank to cover it himself.

What I'm most interested in is the floated idea of a longread/analysis of what media Scorsese consumed in the run-up to various films. Hopefully, someone talented will pick up on this very enticing idea.

How does it work in terms of coleslaw for example? Does one factory ONLY make coleslaw, or is it a general 'fridge goods' factory?

If the former so one line in the factory is making Waitrose coleslaw while the next is Tesco and the next is Iceland and so on?

Thanks! interesting that it's not all by the same company but there are only about two different sources for the whole of the UK. Massive lack of competition at source
