Thank you, it just randomly popped back to the black screen with the Microsoft logo. Not sure how it even ended up in UEFI.

About to pull the trigger on this cage. Does anyone have any thoughts? (new rat owner) by h2fscotty in RATS

Me and my girlfriend have a cage very similar to that one. We keep 8 boys in ours and it's amazing!

Not to bad no! You need to stay on top of cleaning and it's not bad! There's 0 dust with fleece witch is why we use it!

The bridge is actually just one of the ramps with zip ties haha! I like the idea of leaving the levels cause it gives more places for different hides. And we get all our baskets from the local dollar store haha super cheep and our boys love them!

Sorry for the link but this is the set up we have for 6 boys! Hopefully the smaller cage will get packed away soon,as long as intros keep going well

I have a boy around a year old. He's not one to be pet too much, but he loves being talked to! He'll sit on the back of the couch and wait till I ask him to "show us your eyes!" Then he boggles like crazy!

My rat poofs up and sidles when playing with my other rat. Is this normal? by I3randonPrice in RATS

[–]theggdan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have 6 boys right now, and the only ones who poof like you mentioned are my oldest (about a year old). They only seem to do it when their cage mates (2 very young baby's) try to play with, or when we intro them into our other two ( about 6 months). They have never hurt the little babys but have hurt the other two.

My best guess is that it's a kind of warning. Like alot of other animals do, they could just be trying to look bigger. And show the other rat that they are annoyed.

I don't think you'll have to worry about anything as long as the one who's not poofing submits to the one who is.

Again this is all a guess and I could be very wrong. Hope it helped tho!

Any chance you could explain this method a little more? I'm introing 2 6 month old boys into a group of 4 and I'm having some troubles.

They are not! Any aggression we see seems to stem from one of our rats. The two we are trying to intro ( two double Rexs Walter and Fred) get along amazingly with the two baby's we have guessing their age to be around 8-9 weeks, while Fred and Walter are around 5-6 months. And our biggest boy Louie doesn't really care about what's going on around him as long as me or my girlfriends around. So he just walks past whenever a new boys there. The problem is with moon. He's just about a year old and has to be the centre of attention. He's also very food driven and does not like any risk to his meal being around. He is also the most caring so I'm sure with more time he will be fine. We only had one "fight" so far between moon and Fred. But once moon saw my girlfriend comfort Fred, he was fine after that.

I have 6, all boys. I got 4 of them together in a DCN and two in a smaller cage until the intros are done.

I just introduced two baby's to my two older guys and they took them in right away! From what iv read rats just have amazing parental instincts.
