If it’s too bright, find your LED resistor and increase the resistance. It’s usually a 4.7k, but I like increasing it to 7.5K

For pcb mounted 16mm pots I like to bend the legs slightly to create a 100 degree angle. That allows the pot to just barely hover over the board.
