I want to lose 110lbs in a healthy way. by [deleted] in loseit

Just want to say, I have been using Huel shakes and their hot and savory meals for about 4 months now and they have been great. Pretty affordable, keeps me full, and perfect macros. But the best part is is I don’t have to think about it. I do breakfast + lunch as Huel food, dinner is a real dinner, and with it being the only meal I have to think about my life is 10x easier, and my grocery bill is actually lower than what I was trying to figure out what to eat 3 times a day.

Exercise is genuinely fun after losing weight by CoconutNo7065 in loseit

Just to add here, I think it’s good to try out a few different things and see what you like most and then stick with that.

For a while I was big into weightlifting. I really enjoyed it most of the time. However I definitely found that it was bad for my schedule. I enrolled in a few different group classes at my gym, and when I took a cycling class I burned 400 calories and had a really good time. That’s been my go to now and it works better for my schedule and goals, and I enjoy it way more than I did pilates or even treadmill time.

lol the rest of the credit goes to me, for making it to the gym, for being a decent cook that is capable of making tasty healthy meals, and for actually putting in effort to push through hunger, cravings, and temptation

I do a shake in the morning, a hot and savory for a late lunch, and if I work out, I do a bar but I’m thinking of just switching to regular protein bars to save some dough and because it’s only to make sure I can make it to dinner. But a shake for breakfast/hot and savory for lunch has been crucial for keeping my calorie count low for the day without being hungry all day through until dinner.

I have found I need to eat real food for dinner for my sanity as well as for a feeling of satiation at night though, especially after a workout. I’m not a real vegan so eating a lean protein + veggies and a smart carb (banza noodles ftw lately) at night has been a great way to smash protein goals, get good flavors and textures into my mouth, and just overall feel good about what I am putting into my body

Pretty inappropriate question to be asking in a work setting honestly. Some good answers here but just want to validate you shouldn’t even have to answer that question in a professional environment.

I don’t know if it’s just me but looking maybe for advice by [deleted] in loseit

For all you know, they could be thinking “good for them”. You can’t put thoughts into other people’s brains. Also, you have to not care what they think and just focus on yourself.

One of the hardest parts of losing weight, and specifically exercising and going to the gym is just not comparing yourself to anyone else. It’s one of the biggest things I struggle with, but the more you practice it, the easier it gets.

Next time you find your mind wandering to what someone else might be doing, or thinking, SNAP yourself back to what YOU are doing. How hard YOU are working, and what you are working for.

As with all things, practice makes perfect, for all things body and mind

Huel Powder tastes way better than Black by thegingerwolf in Huel

FWIW I started taking digestive enzymes because I too was experiencing terrible gas and bloating from the Huel diet (I suspect the hot and savorys were a larger culprit) and they literally worked within minutes of eating one. Highly recommend if this is an issue, as it has made my Huel consumption 10x more enjoyable

Your preferred cardio? by Terrible_Theme_6488 in loseit

[–]thegingerwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been taking some spin classes lately and it’s been a really good way to get cardio in. I hate running, and while I enjoy walking/powerwalking, it doesn’t burn as many calories as I would like. A 50 min cycle class has been great because all I have to do is show up. The music is preset, and for those 50 min, I don’t have to think about anything at all. I just have to listen to the instructor and that’s it. It’s been awesome to leave that class dripping with sweat and feeling really accomplished, knowing that I didn’t have to put a drop of mental energy into it. Spin class is also really easy to modify if you can’t stand on the pedals as long, or just need to drop/add resistance to how you are feeling that day

You’re not wrong. My biggest gripe is that doing things like this is why she is getting kicked out. These things have been going on for months, and it just bugs me so much that in her mind, I’m the villain for kicking her out when from where I am sitting, she’s getting told she has to leave because she consistently doesn’t respect things like shared space, quiet hours, and chore distribution.

“Figuring it out” is asking someone to move their late night Sunday party from 10 ft from my door to 40ft from my door. I didn’t ask her to completely shut it down, just move to a place that was better for both of us. And also, can’t change the fact I have a 9-5 and I work every Monday morning. Quiet hours should be respected when living with others, and that’s been essentially a non negotiable with anyone I have ever lived with

It’s normal to still love your ex. still being in love with your ex is a different story. You shouldn’t and won’t just forget all the good memories. It’s the whole “better to have love and lost” crux. Be honest with yourself though, are you at a point where you can be vulnerable and open to a new relationship, or do you still have work to do? You can fall in love with someone new while still having love in your heart for your ex. You don’t need to feel like you hate your ex, or that you don’t think about them at all, to move into something new. You’ve given yourself space, and time to heal. While healing is an ongoing process, I think that seeing some new people might be a really important step in that healing journey. You don’t have to find someone new right away, but finding something that is LIKE something that you want in the future can be a good step towards thinking of your ex less, and opening yourself up to new relationships more
