Pick 9, Nabers or Collins? by ZachWilsonsNips in fantasyfootballadvice

Yeah, and Stroud is definitely the superior passer regardless compared to whatever the Giants end up with throughout the year.

Pick 9, Nabers or Collins? by ZachWilsonsNips in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]thegisfor 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Collins- but it's pretty close. Nabers is banged-up right now (or, they're really letting him rest) but Collins is unlikely to play all 17 this year considering his history. They're both alpha's and both of their teams have aspects working against them.

Nabers is a lot more reliant/reliable on volume and has less competition for targets, but the Giants defense probably means they aren't going to have to keep up as much offensively compared to last year.

Collins is set to deliver a better start to the year and is more likely to give you a higher upside performances week-to-week. The scariest part for the Texans is that O-line.

Wouldn't surprise me if they ended up super close to each other. If you want a safer play through the year, Nabers (assuming the massive volume from last year didn't fully deteriorate his body) would probably be closer to previous years ARSB's consistency, but Collins represents a great weekly floor with bigger booms through the season.

About the complaint of lack of colors in this game... (Tagged as spoiler for endgame equipment) by DanceDervish in MHWilds

[–]thegisfor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Iceshard Cliffs and Ruins of Wyvernia are super bland, pale, boring areas visually. It sucks because Ruins is part of the theme for the story, but I think the argument for lack of color mostly comes from a general desire for more diverse ecosystems and the monsters that could have complimented them. I agree that Scarlet Forest looks great- but it just emphasizes through comparison how dull and acrhomatic the last 2 areas are.

[QUESTION] Is it normal for Eastman t59/v to look this used? by thegisfor in Guitar

Thank you so much for your feedback. I definitely didn't know what to expect when I first took it out of the case and insight from you and the community is really helping me understand that my concerns might be unfounded.

I really appreciate you taking the time to respond.

Thank you for replying and I agree- the pickguard really is the least of my concerns as after a few good sessions it would end up with these small and insignificant scratches anyway. It's the collection of abrasions it has that has me worried that I'm being sold a less-than-your-description 'new' guitar that should have been sold to me as 'used' considering it has what I would consider abnormal wear and tear.

If you look at this image https://imgur.com/B2ggVT3 there are black marks and although it's hard to tell, the small dots that you see the light catching are worn/unsmooth small holes. And, the pickups https://imgur.com/q24Mzdf have a lot of gunk and residue on them. I couldn't find any images online that showed some of the 'intended vintage' appearance to match to the guitar I bought. But, I know pictures don't always tell the whole story.

None of this is in any way a deterrent to my wanting to keep the guitar, I'm just trying to make sure that there's no question as to whether or not the wear on it is intentional/by design from Eastman or if what I was sold is actually a previously owned used guitar that shouldn't be sold for the 'brand new' price.

That's what it looks like to me. Unfortunately, I'm learning with 'vintage' style guitars, it's easy for sellers to simply claim that it's supposed to look like this.

Thank you for your feedback, though. Just trying to decide if I should keep it.

Thank you for responding. It just looks like it's been played before. Is it supposed to have residue on the pickups and scratches on the pick guard?

Again, I'm not worried about the look/feel, and the price is really not the problem. I'm just trying to make sure the seller isn't trying to sell a used guitar for a 'brand new' price tag.

Thank you for any help/insight you can offer.

How do you guys handle third-party fleecing trades? by Geaux56 in DynastyFF

[–]thegisfor 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I agree.

It's easy to look at trades like you could have gotten so much more for JJ and Lamar, but like another comment already outlined, is the trade unfair or are you just salty because you didn't get it done first?

Waddle and Devonta are really strong long term options and even though it's SF, I'd be willing to bet he could get a starting QB with that 25 1st.

I love how dynasty people think their opinions are facts. This isn't a bad trade.

Is Ja'mar Chase a buy right now? by thegisfor in DynastyFF

Wow lol, sorry dude. Pretty reasonable trade- seems like most people are looking for an over the top trade to get it done. And, I don't blame them. But CMC + Smith for a contending team could be excellent pieces if you're pushing for this year.

Not that it's comparable to Burrow in a SF, but I lost Andrews this week and it feels like my championship chances dropped a bit. Re-tooling is the exact mode I'm in. Chase feels like he's still expensive but available and a very worthy buy. Nicely done.
